You can only own the house in Bulgaria not the land it stands on once you have made a company. There are so many property issues there with the owners rather like here with the greek land. I have made so many enquiries through Bulgaria Property Experts who are quite good and do have some very cheap houses. I hope you dont do what the english agents done here 10 years ago and put £20,000 on top of a £15,000 property.

and if it all goes tits up out there with your bulgarian bird, and she takes you to the cleaners, look at the bright side you could easy sell your kidney to get a plane ticket out.. there is nice people where ever you go in this world of ours, but i would not go looking for them in bulgaria, nor a house to invest in.

i know 3 lots of people who moved from turkey to bulgaria thinking it was going to be good and cheap all of them are now looking to sell and going back to the UK, i personally have never been so cannot comment, but i did look at some sites on-line with property for sale and nothing appealed to me

I have properties in Bulgaria. I have not had problems with land ownership. Purchase of land & houses is quite straightforward as long as you have limited company set up. I find the countryside great teeming with wildlife & birds. The air quality is much better than Cyprus albeit colder in the winter. Cost of living about one third of what it is in Cyprus. Bulgarian people very friendly Few potholes in the roads but no country`s perfect
