We will be supporting this, Sam is a lovely guy, and as far as we know this problem came like a bolt out of the blue....they do a lot for charities at Soyz so let's give him something back.

Messages 2 and 3 - what is that all about....how sad.

I don't understand messages 2 and 3 either, perhaps when they explain it will at least keep this near the top. Best wishes with the op Sam, thinking of you.

While I don't wish Sam any harm at all, and wish him all the best in his recovery, I am really confused by this.

Sam is wealthy, he and his family are involved in many businesses, I am sure he could afford the operation.

We should not overlook the fact that there are many deserving cases across this country where people just don't have money they need for many reasons, whether operations or for other needs. There are lots of genuinely poor people too.

Are you really that shallow that you have to disrespect someones efforts to support a friend. It is absolutely nothing to do with you as regards Sams financial status its a friend helping a friend out which in this day and age is very nice. thanks for your comment but in future (bearing in mind that one day you may need help) perhapes you could be a little more caring and thoughtfull

Pipie i really do hope you never need help in the future. I can't believe what i am reading - i know for one Sam would be really against this raising of money as he is a proud man but i rtaher contribute and feel involved by showing i care than waste money sending him a get well card and a box of choclates or a bunch of flowers

And if the businesses are being run here they will need all the luck - as we all know to run legally here needs a bottomless pit

Deniz msg 27, You asked where do people find out about others buisness. A lot here make it their buisness to find out and cause as much trouble as they can. I think its great that so many have come together whatever his situation is. Its because of the man himself. I wish him a very speedy recovery x

To the handfull of idiots on here, I know it has been said but what difference does it really make. They may have money, they may not. You can have a successful business in the TRNC but that does not mean that you have a spare £10k + for an emergency op to save your life. How pathetic some people really are.

Anyway, I wish all the very best to Sam and his lovely family. I shall be there showing my support for a friend in need and hope that all who can make it turn up and show yours.

He really is a great guy who has done so much for others, it's about time his kindness was repaid.

Cheers all and see you there

Great night and well supported - Gypsy brothers 4 - 6, the lovely Emma 7 - 8, Mr B for an impromptu performance until 8 30 with The Shy Teds closing the night out. During this we had Mr Tony Wand and Gazza aka Tuxedo Junction doing a couple of numbers and Tony's amazing daughters Lucy (12) and Millie (9) doing an acoustic version (accompanied by Andy on guitar) of Somewhere over the Rainbow by Eve Cassidy which must have brought a lump to everyone's throat that was there. Oh nearly forgot the raffle with donated prizes and organised by Carol meant that the total raised on the night was just short of 2500 TL (Brilliant) for Sam's continual medical costs so all in all - yes a great night -----Get well soon Sam
