I know its not related to the TRNC, but Sharon Shoesmith is now in line for an estimated 1 million pound payout. Judges rejected applications to challenge a ruling she was unfairly sacked following Baby P:s tragic death. It beggars belief she has been on a salary since. The mother of Baby P is so protected, will have a new identity etc. More taxpayers money . Then the book will come out . . When all was needed was that child cared for x

Yes indeed Lilli,

The auld witch needs horsewhipped never mind give her compensation for not doing her job... She will also be claiming for post traumatic stress.

As for the mother, hope gets her dues in prison.

Lilli,

It beggars belief and people in my profession are just as disgusted that this in- competent fool partly responsible in terms of her neglect to act in the death of Peter should be compensated in this way

An outrage, good old British legal system

I spent my working life with vulnerable children, things like this make me ashamed of the system that is supposed to protect them.

unfortunately, under the terms of the 2002 employment act, all employees are entitled to have the chance to defend themselves before any disciplinary action is taken. Unless in really exceptional circumstances. Ed Balls may have acted swiftly to protect vulnerable children, but under the terms of the act, unwisely.
