Looking for a nice place for lunch today. Something different than doner and durums (we love that too, but just looking for something different).

Another post mentioned the business lunch at the Rock's hotel. What about Colony hotel, or across the street? Is Midsummer open for lunch this time of year?

Midsummer is open, Rocks do a really good lunch deal - the business lunch, for something local, try the Hoca Restaurant in Alagadi, speciality is fish caught by the owner every morning It's very simple, includes a meze, has no menu, the owner tells you what he has and it costs about 25 - 30TL.

I would agree with messages 3 & 4 'The Hut' in Lapta serves wonderful home made British style food. Sue's deserts are a legend.

Blimey, spoilt for choice. Hoca, Alagadi sounds right up my street. Don't you just love it here (And that's not a question to be answered by negativeinck. We don't want any negativenickness on this thread as well!)

Agree with you Pugwash, Taners Terrace at Karakum. From Girne turn right just after 'Marshalls' sign. It is sign post at the junction.
