you can't be self employed in the kfc (unless you are a cypriot)...

you'd need to set up a company and that company would then apply for a work permit for you, but as a "1 man band" you'd not be able to make it viable....

stick to posting on here - who knows, someone might pay you..........

to stop, that is....

It was a hypothetical question neggo but still valid as a possible future option, though the more I read on these forums from those that live in TRNC and those that have tried and failed the appeal wains.

Roomy,

If your thinking of working in Cyprus go south, you have all your EU rights to work ect. Here in the north its a closed shop, they don't want you to work or start a business cos it may effect the locals income.

It would be almost impossible Roomy, as stated above, you would need a company of your own , thousands in the bank etc etc. But best wishes anyway!!

It is quite staggering that after all the time you have spent on this forum, bearing in mind your stated intent to move here, that you haven't grasped the position with regard to working here etc.

Surely anyone, even someone as dim as you, would have done just the tiniest bit of research first.

Just try to grasp this fact. I know that it is a bit complicated for you but just try very hard. If you work without a work permit you are liable to be fined and instantly deported.

Nod your little head if you understand.

Thanks all, so the answer is no, which is as I thought, I was just looking for confirmation.

Harold I have no idea what you are talking about, can I ask you to talk slower and use words of no more than 3/4 syllables so as to give me half a chance at least of understanding your increasingly high brow posts.

What a nugget Hahahahahahahhahaha...

Wait a minute wouldn't me or those I was doing the work for have to register as a charity and keep books etc?

No , you still get paid

just get someone to rattle a tin whilst working

so some proceeds go to a charity

could be a test case ?
