Absolutely right, all dishonesty and corruption should be stamped on no matter who you are. One thing I always find distasteful is one police force investigating another. I do not know the alternative, but somehow it does not seem right.

| Oh dear poor man in the wrong place at the wrong time (PRISON - SO RIGHT PLACE) since the TRNC will never try him (too many secrets would come out) the RoC will have to be the place, not what anyone wanted but I am sure the Aga victims will shed not tears, now it would be nice to see the rest of the robbing fatherless ones involved in the Aga fiasco get their just desserts. | philbailey message 29: one or two quirks I think in your brief posting firstly the roc is in the eu not europe, an organisation heading towards serious monetary meltdown ...the island of cyprus is technically in asia assume "good news for those who bought" is a sarcastic reference to the once-numerous british property punters, as oppposed to greek cypriot would-be claimants whose ancestors bought up cyprus with loans and encouragement from the church according to recent postings from well-informed erolz, the orams/robb scare tactics are unlikely to be useable for the average homeowner |

tango, the gary robb show trial is not intended to "help people in the north" as you put it it is an expensive way of reminding would-be developers they could be clobbered, at least in theory it is hardly likely to make a measurable impact in the british press, but british developers assuming there are any still left, will sit up and take notice and doom and gloom merchants will somehow infer that any of this really applies to your average small-scale homeowner in north cyprus: ...probably the same individuals who imagine the nicosia administration would be self-defeating enough to tamper with their eu-rights to cross the green line

Cyprus detains Briton as illegal land sale suspect Associated Press Posted on August 4, 2011 at 8:01 AM NICOSIA, Cyprus (AP) — A Cyprus judge has ordered the detention of a British man suspected of involvement in the illegal sale of Greek Cypriot property in the divided island's breakaway Turkish Cypriot north. The judge approved a police request on Thursday to detain 48-year-old Gary John Robb for 8 days to assist investigators. Police say Robb was extradited to Cyprus on a European arrest warrant after serving a 2 1/2 year sentence in a British prison for a 1995 drug trafficking conviction. Rob is being investigated on nine charges that he was a partner in a company that sold more than 200 luxury villas it built illegally on Greek Cypriot land. Greek Cypriots fled the island's northern third in 1974 when Turkey invaded after a coup by supporters union with Greece. http://www.kens5.com/news/world/126761348.html

According to the latest news: (From TAK, based on CYBS) "Gary Robb has taken to the Nicosia court today and remanded for 8 days. CR adminstration has got the 'cooperators list' of Robb-in the TRNC-, and also have arrest warrants for those people. so if they attempt to pass to the south Cyprus, they will be arrested. According to TAK (main TC news agency), CR attorney general (Petros Kleridies) will contact with the Robb victims in the north and ask if they are willing to depose against him. report says, this number is around 350."

Msg 38. "CR attorney general (Petros Kleridies) will contact with the Robb victims in the north and ask if they are willing to depose against him." Is that not just a bit two-faced, another time they would be trying to prosecute the "victims" for buying on GC land. Talk about wanting their cake and eating it.

Msg 39; leading lawyer (Barış Mamalı) stated today: "Robb case will be worst than Orams case. now all the GC title land owners will share the same faith with robb and can stand trail in the south's court. the case of robb- and the decision- will be regarding as 'precedent case' for sure." I doubt that after the EHRC decision (in March 2010): "Immovable property comission" of the TRNC was accpeted as 'remedy' for such cases. So, it is bit complicated.

Mammali seems to be saying everyone owning GC land will be vulnerable and then saying that after the ECHR decision (in March 2010)IPC of the TRNC was accepted as a remedy for such cases. So is a bit complicated, duh, what the hell is he saying? Oh I forgot he is an advocate so plebs like us are not expected to understand. which is good, because most of us dont.

bulgarian communist georgi dimitri "got off" with starting the reichstag fire in 1933 (it was probably a mad dutchman as front man, cynically used by herman goering) unsavoury gary robb has gotta be found guilty for reasons of scaremongering obviously ...but also of course for reasons of internal belief systems peculiar to south cyprus: because if there were indeed no guilty men, why has nicosia wasted years of stupid sanctions and promoting ineffectual resolutions? and by corollory, if the one-off land-for-peace deal in 2004 was so very unacceptable, why not continue the witch hunt as a totally bonkers caper to cover-up a dead-end? ...so you see the greek cypriot regime is far more rational than it sometimes appears

So the Attorney General in the RoC wants depositions from the victims of Robb, yet he and his assistant who gets his teeth fixed from the public purse in the RoC, think it is okay to ignore every directives and questions put to them by the EC courts about their own property frauds against ex pats but expect complete co-operation from those they would normally describe as cheapskates, You Couldn't Make It Up. The bloody hypocrites.

Also, I wouldn't put it past the RoC to subsequently file EAW's for the very expats who co-operate with them! Why? Because, having knowingly bought 'stolen goods', these people may be deemed to be complicit with Gary Robb and his 'cronies'! When dealing with GC's, always be aware that there very well maybe further 'ramifications'!

I agree Tena. At the end of the day of you purchased the so called exchange land ,then you paid your money and took your chance. The laws on this in the Roc have been clear for many years now. The foreign Office has also made it crystal clear. In all fairness to them they have not pursued hardly anyone. This could be much bigger is they decided to. But then you knew the risk when you purchased here.

| So Mr. Robb's lawyer is saying Robb was nothing to do with Aga. Oh dear, so those documents with official stamps on published by Pauline on NCFP must be referrring to another Gary John Robb who coinicidentally was involved as both major shareholder ad Director of Aga Development Ltd and the swines even named the company after the real Gary John Robb's wife Aga. | Deacon, You can't be seriously saying that when you came and purchased in the TRNC you didn't know the island was divided or about the events in 1974? Or is it your saying you didn't know that the so called exchange land was Greek Cypriot owned. ? Did you not research before buying? Sorry am i missing the point?? I did meet a woman a while back in Marks and Spencers, she told me Cyprus was one of the Greek islands, lol. |

Trish. Not the odd one,its gone crazy this year,so many moving onto chlorine free or almost chlorine free if they do not wish to buy potasium monopersulphate. It really has been a busy summer for his product. After all it is a very good product. Happy chlorine free swimming folks http://www.zerochlor.co.uk

just a question as i dont know much about this mr gary rob. who sold or allowed him to develop on land which he should never have built on. isnt the local goverment just as guilty if the land illegaly developed by this company. give people enough rope and they will hang themselves surley he is a victim of all the land issues between the trnc and south cyprus. dont shoot me down for asking i am just curious as to how this can all happen under the noses of the trnc goverment.
