According to the CYBS (Greek official radio), Robb extradited to South Cyprus today around noon time...

He is on the Cyprus soil now. He was taken to the Larnaca police headquarter directly from LArnaca airport, informed sources told.

Absolutely right, all dishonesty and corruption should be stamped on no matter who you are. One thing I always find distasteful is one police force investigating another. I do not know the alternative, but somehow it does not seem right.

it is an expensive way of reminding would-be developers they could be clobbered,

at least in theory



it is hardly likely to make a measurable impact in the british press,

but british developers assuming there are any still left, will sit up and take notice

to your average small-scale homeowner in north cyprus:

The judge approved a police request on Thursday to detain 48-year-old Gary John Robb for 8 days to assist investigators.



Police say Robb was extradited to Cyprus on a European arrest warrant after serving a 2 1/2 year sentence in a British prison for a 1995 drug trafficking conviction.



Rob is being investigated on nine charges that he was a partner in a company that sold more than 200 luxury villas it built illegally on Greek Cypriot land.



Greek Cypriots fled the island's northern third in 1974 when Turkey invaded after a coup by supporters union with Greece.

CR adminstration has got the 'cooperators list' of Robb-in the TRNC-, and also have arrest warrants for those people. so if they attempt to pass to the south Cyprus, they will be arrested.

According to TAK (main TC news agency), CR attorney general (Petros Kleridies) will contact with the Robb victims in the north and ask if they are willing to depose against him.

I doubt that after the EHRC decision (in March 2010): "Immovable property comission" of the TRNC was accpeted as 'remedy' for such cases. So, it is bit complicated.

At the end of the day of you purchased the so called exchange land ,then you paid your money and took your chance.

The laws on this in the Roc have been clear for many years now. The foreign Office has also made it crystal clear. In all fairness to them they have not pursued hardly anyone.

This could be much bigger is they decided to. But then you knew the risk when you purchased here.
