JUst the little matter of trial to go through first then if they are guilty, sure put them away.

I don't think it was a violent crime, so they should be treated like any other convicted felon. I think all violent crime should have long term sentences.

At the moment they have not even been charged with an offense, let alone found guilty of one by a court of law. Innocent until proven guilty is the normal maxim and it should apply to everyone equally be they police or not. One could imagine you have a chip on your shoulder zero ?

But if you like you can offer a truthful example if you wish or can?

Or maybe many examples, but you would need to be very very clever to do that, and i think the latter your not

Knowing they are corrupt and proving the guilt of given indivduals in a court of law are not the same thing. I am sure you would expect the right to be considered inocent until proven guilty, yet you seem less than willing to offer that to others, if they happen to be police. That to me smacks of a chip on your shoulder. I might be wrong but that is how it comes across to me.

0mainenance,

you know how corrupt they are?

I presume you are talking about the officers arrested and not the police in general. If so it is important that you give this information to the investigating officers to ensure it is added to the evidence that is already there.

It seems that too many people have the 'lynch mob mentality', I am glad I am not someone wrongly accused who is standing in front of you.

It may be that these people will be found guilty of some offence. If so then due to their position they should be more harshly treated than other criminals.

As erolz states innocent until proven guilty is the maxim, and guilt or innocence should be proven by the evidence and not by someone who has made up their mind before even looking at the evidence.

@ msg 7, 0-he/she: (...) inspector cluso (...)

▶ Huh? How interesting again to see some Brits write their spoken language on C44!

"inspector cluso"..?! A remake by illiterate movie directors?

P.S. Peter Sellers played his role as "Inspector Clouseau". FYI: it's a French family name.

when i lived in the uk erolz i had a saying.

the best one is a ---- one

ive calmed down a little since moving to TRNC

i really have no chip on my shoulder, ive seen 1st hand how they have planted evidence.

Ive seen a video that STV made of a junkie working with the police and the police asking the junkie to plant some gear in a certain persons car in scotland, the junkie was wired up by STV,when the police found out, many doors where kicked in looking for the tape, they where not aware it was STV who secretly filmed and recorded this until much later.

I may even have a copy of the secret filming still, although its on old VHS tape,i shall try and find it and get it tranferd to DVD so i can then post it on youtube.

If i had a chip on my shoulder about them,im sure by now you know id just say i have.

I would not urinate on one if he was on fire when i was back in the uk

Only my opinion.

Suppose theres a few bad eggs in ever half dozen

lets get back on thread ero

zero just because there are known examples where police have been shown to be corrupt, that does not mean that every time one is under suspicion of such they are therefore automaticaly guilty and should be considered so. The same is true of every and any profession. No doubt there are proven examples even of pool product company execs being guilty of anything from fraud to corruption to anything else, but that does not mean any time one is accused I will assume them to be guilty as well.

To get back on topic then, the indivduals concerned have not even been charged with an offence yet, let alone found guilty. If they are found guilty by a court of law, I will be the first to condem them but until they are I will assume they are innocent until proven guilty, just as I would with anyone else of any class, race, profession, background, gender or any other grouping you may care to mention.
