Don't want to be rude, but how long is a piece of string. Some years are better than others, where we live it's been the best in 7 years for mozzies and sandflies, we've never seen so few. Bring it and use if necesary. if not save for another year!!

grubster been here 7 years and always used avon and vit B complex. I have just returned after being in UK, had my shower and sprayed my avon. Had a power cut so sat out . The bleeders got me big time. Coundnt beleive it. Doubled up on Vit B today. My body must have been in shock from being so cold back home and hitting the heat x

I take garlic capsules 1 week before we arrive and 1 everyday we are there,.. it seems to work for us !

Turtle would garlic in food help. 7 years no worries. I know your blood changes every 7 years but they made a meal of me.Only been gone about 4 weeks.

I suspect the answer is yes for the insect repellent, I usually continue using until around end of September. Sun tan lotion, definitely and probably until around beg November if last year was anything to go by (that is of course if you're planning on doing some sunbathing).



Grubster, if you will need any help with these two things when you arrive let me know. I import (and supply to the public also) a full range of suntan lotions, oils and creams of all factors. And we also have insect repellent sprays and roll on (with and without deet for those with more sensitive skins). I can send you a catalogue if you like and we can discuss off forum, just let me know.

i spent some time in singapore ..very hot and humid..and very few mossies..they ensure no breeding sites and you get fined if found to have one..eg pot with water in it......probabaly not achievable in trnc...especailly with pools left..but it can be done....pie in the sky anyone..
