You connect it to a giant satelite dish and then to your telly, sky like you to be connected to a telephone line and indeed when you sign the contract you agree to this for the first year after that you can pull the phone line out.If you only use the box for freeview you should be ok anyway.

Dear Millwallmik

If you bring your SKY box over to Cyprus and plug it in to your pone line you WILL lose your package

SKY is currently only licensed for the UK / Rep of Ireland - and until there is a European Court of Justice legal ruling - on a case regarding a Greek sat system being used in the UK - even though there has been a legal opinion from the Advocat General saying this should be OK - the TVs cos and FIFA and the IoC ) intl Olympic Committee ) are trying to persuade the country by country rights model to be maintained...

Bring your box.. don't call SKY from Cyprus - don't plug it in to your phone line....

Forget it mate, call in the office when you get here,it will cost you a fortune for a huge dish.

Come and have a look at the system ive got here.

You can watch every football match you want and i mean every match.

Forget the SKY,expensive and the dishes look a right mess in your garden or on your roof.

>>SKY sports does not get you every match. <<

THAT was the first thing you got right ..

However if you want the three o'clock game and don't want to risk being turned off - you can get Nova Cyprus on a 1m dish and watch the game .... and pay monthly

Is Nova Cyprus expensive, on a 'big' dish or likely to be tuned off ... ?

It is 'interesting' that some that is 0.8m bigger is HUGE... !
