Tramadol here has nother name, i think it is Contramal, and you definitely need a prescription for it.

For those that don't know, Tramadol is a serious pain killer and used correctly do the job just fine, however...you may find yourself wanting to throw up, serious itching and an irritable nose...

But these drugs are apt to give you a rather nice fuzzy feeling of being high...hence why they are controlled. If you are able to buy them over the counter then the pharmacst who sells them should be locked up.

Hi Maria. dr Cenkler Used him since arriving here 10 years ago. speak good english. Please think about Tramadol. If you have Asthma they cause drowsiness, Unset Tumy's Dizziness, Breathing difficulty, High or low BP, Vertigo, Mood Changes. Confusion just to name a few. As you are in the UK why not go to A&e and let them check you out. It has to be sorted. you can not live your life taking Opiates. I will give you Dr Cenklers number when you get back .

Maybe, Maria has been prescribed this drug by a Doctor in the UK, and is now wondering where she can get them whilst in NC?

Hope you are enjoying your holiday Maria.

This is not Europe so you cannot count on you can get the European medicine here, there is a rather big production of generic medicine in Turkey, and this is what you mainly get here and you cannot be sure its the same.

Someone used the word fake, I do not agree to that as there is not any fake medicine on the market, the important thing is what is the active ingredients in there.

If there is any doubts see your KKTC doctor

Arthritis of the spine is very very painful :( http://orthopedics.about.com/cs/paindrugs/a/cortisone.htm

There was a documentary on BBC World (last year I think it was) when inspectors from US Drug Administration and EU went "underground" for 2 years or more tracking down fake drugs. China, Parkistan and Turkey were by far and away the largest producers of fake drugs. The isolated factories in Turkey were way out on the Kurdistan border. Even the packaging was virtually impossible to detect, right down to bar coding, bubble packing, printing etc etc.

Ref msg 15. There was recently a case here of drugs being confiscated via mailing. Apparently, here in the TRNC, only registered pharmacologists can import drugs, including vitamins, diet pills etc. I guess, therefore, getting relatives to mail them is a 'no no' and especially so if they are powerful. Far better to get a prescription in UK and ask a local registered chemist here to prescribe it, or its local version. We have no problem getting our UK-prescription filled here.

Hi Maria. tramadol. There is a Pharmacy here that will actually import the drug you want. but you have to pay for at least a years worth to make it worth his while. you have to give him a photocopy of you prescription. i can tell you about it when you get back. The other thing is. I also have Three things wrong with me. you would probably say more. Ha Ha. I have Osteoperosis, degenerative bone desease. And Arthritis in various places. My spine is shot. But all i take is Glucosamine, 1,500mg a day. and one cap of Ephynol 300mg And i am practically Pain free considering my age. You do not need to take Chondrotin. What little of that is in the joint tablets turns to glucosomine anyway. Will have a chat when you get back. Take care.
