Off with his head. Throw him to the dogs!! Is this the cry of the Greek Cypriots? If it is they are wrong. A more considered approach would be to award him with their highest honour for his enormous contribution to the collapse of the construction industry in the North and the spreading of misery amongst those whose lives he touched.

This will be the GC's greatest showcase. How handy to have a case that not only highlights the problems of buying GC land but also shows:

*the existing level of corruption and fraud

*asks how can someone wanted by the police obtain citizenship?

*investigates double selling

*poor build quality

and to top it all, the complete disregard and failure of the Government to act or intervene. The GC motive is the publicity generated to "keep their plight alive" but also as a warning to anyone considering investment, be it home purchase or business opportunity.

They have chosen well. Who could defend Robb or the system?

Mr Robb is claiming, through his lawyer that he had nothing to do with Aga.

In Cyprus Today, his wife, coincidentally called 'Aga' claims she will stand by her man.

An article containing the minutes of an HBPG meeting he attended in May 2006, as guess what,at Director of Aga

The Company Document duly stamped containg the name of all Aga Directors and shareholders in 2009 appeared on NCFP. Guess who was named on it?

Sure, Aga. nothing to do with him........

Only thing wrong with him being on trial, it is on the wrong side of the border.

But he would never be brought to justice in the TRNC and unfortunately it is this very action that has given the GC this golden opportunity.

I know Bradus, too many cats out of too many bags if they put him on trial here. How many brown envelopes changed hands for his citizenship, being allowed to form a company etc ,etc.

TRNC have only themselves to blame, every time they hand the south the weapons to wound them with.

The Greek economy is suffering at the moment. Perhaps a few very fat brown envelopes will do the trick.

Not making excuses for either side, both as corrupt as each other where govt is concerned.

TRNC Turkish Republic of Nationalised Corruption

RoC Republic of Corruption

Both sides turning this island into a laughing stock. Shame on them.

Oh how I would love to live a charmed life and truly believe there is no corruption in North Cyprus.

Tell, me what do you have to take to believe that - perhaps it will help me sleep. Perhaps Dutch Crusader also believes in Father Christmas, the tooth fairy and Gary Robb was worthy of citizenship and no money changed hands.

but companies in north cyprus, regarded as illegal territory,

cannot be recognised as legal entities in south cyprus:

therefore robb's "company" aga within the "trnc" cannot exist

therefore no crime could take place involving "aga"?

and it will be a novel experience to hold a trial by candlelight

if christostmos II has his way

maybe that is what they mean by "robb will not see daylight

for a long while"

perhaps a useful precedent will be created if robb "did it"

...in that hundreds of crooked south cyprus builders who

took the money but refuse to hand over deeds to their clients

can then be arrested

Robb is simply the pawn, its the TRNC through him, that they wish to make the example of.

Bradus, i think if you break the law you have suffer the punishment if you are caught.

If he hadn't sold drugs in the UK and been convicted, then skipped the country none of this would have happened to him. It was his choice.
