I noticed when I first started posting that when you start a new topic, it has always asked you to include North Cyprus in the title, it's just that majority of us never took any notice of it.

Supose I write something about South Cyprus. It is not directly related to TRNC but it may have repercussions for the north. So what should I do, should I put "TRNC" in front or not? Damned if I do and damned if I don't

I am afraid the above statement is not true at all! And if that is the reason for such an off putting request, then I suggest they withdraw it

The click popularity is decided by the number of people who on average visit a site daily, weekly, monthly whatever. The link popularity - another major contributor to Search engine placings - is the number of inbound/outbound quality links (includes the bookmarks on others' computers). The keywords/phrases are what people use most to locate a product or a service when searching for them.

The only good adding "TRNC" does to this site is when a key phrase that includes TRNC as in "TRNC forums" is used. But cyprus44 already holds the top 2 positions for this key phrase as well as for "TRNC insurance" anyway! cyprus44 also appears on the first page of many other TRNC related key phrases such as "TRNC holidays", "TRNC property" etc.

The thinking behind it wad that people were moaning that there were too many threads that were NOT about the TRNC and were not interested in anything Non TRNC.

I would refer the 'editor' without portfolio to Rule 7:-
