CORRECTION..!!! A TRNC kimlik is NOT enough to cross the checkpoints..
Turkish Nationals can only cross if they are married to a Turkish Cypriot and they produce the relevant document to prove this. |

| Sorry to say this but a friend of mine came across with myself and another friend we had our euro passports and my other friend only had her TRNC Kimlik on her and we had no problem

KKTC kimlik is enough to cross the checkpoint only if it belongs to a Turkish Cypriot who has been a Turkish Cypriot pre 1974..
There are tens of thousands of mainland Turks who carry KKTC kimlik but they are not allowed to cross (unless they are married to a TC)
ROC imigration have records of all Turkish Cypriots pre 1974 at the checkpoints and it only takes them few minutes to do an ID check from their database. |

Even one Cypriot parent is enough to enable her to cross.. |
