I don't know much about London but have noticed there's been lots of trouble there, recently. I came across this which describes riots associated with a particular football club over a hundred year period. The trouble is I don't know the ethnic make-up of their fan-base......

Riddles: Millwall have a predominately white working class support known especially for their no nonsense approach. Our club anthem is No one likes us, we don't care. The club has a particularly violent past and have worked hard to change the media image of the club, however violence still flares occassionally, mainly away from the ground. The ground it's self is very well policed and is safe to visit.

As an aside last night up to 300 Millwall took to the streets of Eltham in South east London to protect their neighbourhood from threats that had been made earlier in the day on various media sites that gangs from Woolwich that were on there way to loot and ransack the area. Under the banner of "No one loots us, we don't scare" the Millwall fans ensured that not one single shop was damaged. Other decent citizens of London also did the same last night, noticeably in Enfield where a group of locals saw off rioters.

we have been called scum for years, now local communitys are asking us for help.and we will give it.

as with other clubs throughout britain, football is our opera.

but even if we clash over old tribal wars,we still stay loyal to the people in our area, and i predict that other clubs will follow millwall and come out on the streets to protect the people.

these scum have been taking the piss for years, enough is enough.

I seriously believe that these problems will be put down by the population at large.Communities are coming together to clean up the mess the scum have created and as seen above starting to protect themselves. The scum are a very very small minority and in England today there is an overwhelming feeling of digust towards them. I think there will come out of all this a change to the way the country has been led down the path of the pc and do gooders.

There are issues that the government have to face. The UK is not down the pan as some of the comments by expats have been voicing, some would say that so as to justify why they are where they are!

The Police have taken a hard stance on the Millwall who turned out in Eltham this evening (Wednesday) They have been corralled in for two hours with each one being filmed and being asked for personal details before being let out, didn't see that happening elsewhere in London over the last 4 nights but then again the majority of Millwall are white, say no more.

MSG 15: Very few singing EDL, you always get a few prats and hangers on. However, my point was that at an, up til then, peaceful gathering why did the police feel that they could take action then but not on the previous nights when they just stood by and watch peoples property, business's and jobs go up in flames?

The answer is, the manily white crowd were not offering any threat to them so they felt they could take liberties. If you're white your racist. What a sad state of affairs.

Not disagreeing with you - you know the score with the OB - a couple of hundred old school wall on the streets, they are going to get a bit jittery
