Can anyone please inform me if cosmetic surgery is performed privately in The TRNC (or Turkey) and are the results up to a high standard ?

Are the facilities good and how qualified are the surgeons?

Are the prices comparable to the UK?

Are there waiting lists ?

A friend is asking as she would like a boob enlargement which costs about £4000 in the UK.

Can anyone recommend a person and place to have this done please ?

Are satisfied customer lists available?

Thanks in advance

Birdman when I read the title I though no way does he need work, however a friend of mine had a boobjob done in famaguta and I have to say the results were very good. I wouldnt do it here myself but Im scared and have no money anyway. I have heard as swyflt says Dr Burga is excellent.

I know someone and it is not me, who had a boob job done with Dr Bugra and she is very happy. The price is far lower than in U.K. One can go to Turkey - somewhere like the Acibadem Hospital at Adana is , again, cheaper than U.K, but why go there when local is good. Dr Bugra has helped a lot of people. He removed a nasty growth from my husband's ankle and he is very good and painstaking in his work.

Remember, if you have a bad job done here, then the surgeon will be out of work as his reputation will nose dive.

There are three or four plastic surgeons, but I would reclommend Bugra and his telpehone number is 0533 867 3347 or 0542 852 5288.

I met him by the way for an interview and found him to be a totally genuine, sincere man, who is rather a sweetie. So wy not go and see him (your friend, I mean, Birdman, or you go on her behalf, then judge for yourself. As I say I have a frieend who is VERY happy with what was done.

Would suggest looking at Near East University Hospital. They certainly do plastic surgery and they have a lot of very highly qualified docs. The hospital facilities are excellent and they are keen to encourage medical tourism.

Dr Bugra definately - a perfectionist and nothing is too much trouble. He will give you his mobile number and tell you to call him day or night if you have any concerns after the op.

Thank you to all the above for your comments, looks like Dr. Bugra is the one to see.

Anyone know what price he charges for an enlargement?

I gave Bugra's phone numbers above. Just ring and ask for a quote or go and see him and he will give a quote. I cannot say the cost but I do know that his price is EXTREMELY REASONABLE. GOOD LUCK.

What I need is a tummy tuck and I don't have the time or money, but I do know that is around 5,000TL allin, and I believe a breast job is cheaper. But don't hold me to it (the cost, not the breast!) - ask him.

I have just had cosmetic surjury here on tuesday, in Girne, I found it better than the UK, just as clean, proffessional and careing,,,, the price in the UK was £500 consultation, £3500 surgery and £550 for the testing to see whether there was a problem or not,,,, now wait for it, I attended the surgery at 5,30 monday night,,, the gentlemen had me in a private hospital at 9.30 the next day, carried out the minor surgery with local anesthetics, I was home for 12 lunchtime, and everything cost me £550 TL, yes 550 TL and I couldent ask for better treatment, I am releived, satisfied and very ,,, very happy.... OH! and £ 3750.00 better off.

WEell Dream Girl, as you say your location is Thailand, I would think that was far the best place to consider gender re-assignment and join the Kratoi boys! (sorry if I have got that wrong). I would not think you would get THAT done on the island - or are you joking?

Dr Burga recently removed a cancerous growth from below my eye, as it was rather extensive it required a skin graph from in front of my ear, now you can hardly see the original wound or the graph site, I have had 4 appointments plus the op for only 650 TL 200 of which was the biopsy fee. As a former RGN believe me I scrutionised everything I couldn't find fault and really recommend him

Same with my husband. Growth removed from the ankle and a skin graft from further up his leg. all done well, with lots of follow upand all at an excellent price. He really is thorough and fair. He says he is not in thebusiness of making money, but making people happy. He has a good phliosophy and a good surgeon, at a good price. don't think he can be beatenon the island. But maybe others have a different reocmmendaiton.

Those who used Dr Buğra for "growth" removal, does he use laser or a scarper?

Message 24 - I don't think so. He does not have a laser, and I believe he is solely cosmetic surgery. However, I am sure he would recommend someone, and if he does, you can be sure that it will be a good reliable one.

I know a good surgeon in the south who does chemical peels (I used to teach him English! - although never had one of his peels cos it means sitting still for too long). But for here, best to ask Bugra.
