The majority died of Malaria or Yellow Fever as there were no antibiotics or medicines to deal with them then.

a lot of workers died during the french side of construction says it all doesnt it and another 5600 during the american side 1914



another interesting fact is the japanese planned an attack using giant submarines which carried a plane inside and launched off a ramp on the sub luckily they were discovered

I was in the merchant navy with P.S.N.C. and all the old salts had me saving the bread for the donkeys,

felt a fool when I got there
