Hubby & I went for a meal last night. Lovely food, good service, attractive surroundings and reasonable prices. Good venue for a wedding too! We will go again!

We went last Sunday for lunch, our friend treated us. It was superb. In fact the best Sunday Lunch we have ever eaten out. The Chef cooks with imagination and flare. The portions are very good, and plenty of beautiful fresh veg and extra. We couldn't manage a sweet, but they also looked delicous and large portions. We had acouple of moans about the service, but the staff are very good and the quality of the food outweighed those minor niggles. A beautiful setting.

Not wishing to be pedantic, but isn't it called "Moon and Sixpence"?

You may be correct! We knew them as Moon Over the Water before, so it sort of got stuck in my mind, but hey ho, whatever, it is where the now closed International Club was. New waiter last night, only second night and he was trying very hard to please us!

Biggles - thanks for your reply. We were hoping to try International Club last time we were there (June) but, unfortunately it was closed. Fingers crossed that "The Moon" (it's easier) is still open on our next visit J

Well if sunday lunch is anything to go by, then you are on a winner. We did have to wait but it was explained to us before we took our table. The service from there was great, the food I would go as far to say outstanding, nothing was too much trouble.Plenty of everything and more if you required it. I have a prob at the moment that I cant eat much , I explained before I had my meal , guess what my meal that I couldnt eat was so nicely presented for me to take home without asking.I only wish it wasnt so hot that I could walk upfor lunch. Well done both and I wish you all the luck, I dont think you will need it seeing your menu, tasting your food and of course the all important thing here your prices, and can I thank God you also serve other than turkish wines.

Always nice to read good reviews of restaurants, but it would be a help if an indication of prices was included. Is 'The Moon' haute cuisine with prices to match, or something for everyone with prices to suit all pockets. Also, is there a lunch/snack menu available? Many thanks. Boerboel
