Why is my email CY44@....?

I can create mailboxes with any name in front of the domain name I like ...



Example Companies have email addresses like mark.smyth@ourcompayname.com and could have maz@ourcompanyname.com and they are set up to go to specific places..



so if you write to cy44@.. it goes to a specific - a readily identifiable mail folder.. it's a simply method of filing



As to why I don't know who owns the a specific newspaper.. I don't live in Cyprus .. I haven't help a copy in my mits... I wouldn't ask if I knew .. I tried to register, got a user/name and password email back, but got a server error msg their end when I try to log in, so I can only see the first page of the paper online.
