Info on Eye Tests

My friend had a eye test and new glasses in the UK

Eye test £29

new bi focal lens £137

new frames £114

Total £280ish



Think it is time for me to have a eye test. Can anyone recommend an Optician and tell me the cost of an eye test and similar in TRNC. please.

I always get mine done in AAA in southern nicosia. I need extra tests because of glaucoma and the optician is extremely thorough. New glasses with varifocal reactolite lenses cost me 200 Euro

I have mine done at Cyprus Life hospital in Lefkosa.

Very thorough; includes my Glaucoma tests and referral to the laser eye clinic and follow up back at the hospital.



The eye clinic in Girne is hubby's choice.



AKAY optics is where we get our prescription glasses from.

My extra lightweight, reactolite lenses and frames cost 280TL. They also re-glazed my old frames for use as a spare pair.

As I said AKAY optics in Girne put new lenses in my old frames.



Eye tests at either Girne eye clinic or Canada optics in Karakum, to name just two.

200 euro includes test frames and lens. You must make an appt but you can walk to them through Ledra St. I just like to get it all done under one roof as opposed to a test in one location and buying glasses in another

▶ Pepare yourself: your eyes will be tested and guess what? You suffer from cataract. Treatment is necessary etc etc.

Try "Girne eye clinic" or/and "ophthalmologist" in the search window on top of this page and read the comments.
