I would love them but the two I hate came to a bad end. One disappeared and the other appeared as an almost empty shell. I am still living with the guilt, so maybe I should not think of trying tolook afgter any more. But I love the creatures. Had them when a kid in London and so they are a part of my memories. But if no one else takes them, maybe I could learn to be a better 'mother'????

Teresa. The ones that roam the garden where do they hibernate? my grandchildren have 2 here in the UK they put them in a fridge in the house during Winter, do you have to do something like that there are do you leave them free?

Woodspeckie i have never heard of putting them in the fridge would have thought t would ahve been far too cold. I had one in the UK and he used to bury himself in the garden and come up with the daffodils. Here i just leave them to hibernate on their own, they know what they are doing better then i do.

All the babies have now been adopted unless i find any strays in the garden.
