| Most people on here seem to condemn buying off plan yet I know many people who have bought off plan and are happy. We have bought off-plan at Karsiyaka and our villa is ahead of schedule. Can we not give credit where credit is due? I know there have been lots of problems but there are reputable builders. Don't you all agree? |

| maybe when your villa is finished, you have water /electric all your snagging compleated without a huge list of extra,s to pay, your title deeds safely in your hands please post again, in short the answer to your post is a no we dont all agree kind regards have a great day |

If all is ok with you then great I am very pleased for you but I know of over 50 propertys sold off plan in Karsiyaka and still have no mains water or electric after 4 yeard +.
On a posative not the sun is shining I am in ( reasonably ) good health have a beautiful wife to spend my days with here in sunny cyprus Life is what you make of it.

| we boiught off plan, very reputable builder, helped and expedited electric connection, was fitted days after applying, all finished, not on schedule but the schedule was never realistic, snagging done, well as much as you would expect, always knew would have to do a fair bit myself, but all in all a painless experience compared to most. Would I buy 'off plan' again, no, becaise looking through all the posts, the probability is against you, and if you are not there all the time to chase along, and the builder fancies a month off, or worse, may be a great builder, buy financially not too sharp, could well end up with a major problem. If you buy finished, you see what you will get, it actially exists, and it's a much quicker process.

I agree, but you must do your homework first.
we bought off plan from a local builder ( Hasan Isak ) signed contract end august 2006, All done and finished feb 2008 furnished may 2008, moved in sept 2008, Hasan and his wife, Sally have been fantastic and have dealt with any snags same day |

Well I wasn't expecting that..
Daffodil the percentage of people who have had a bad experience here is totally unacceptable... so although some are happy-ish it's not a good atmosphere for home makers in general as everybody who is OK also knows someone else who has not/is not having a good time... |

| Daffodils your villa may be ahead of schedule but until you have water/electric/snagging completed and your title deeds I don't think you can effectively comment. No disrespect but most of the problems happen in the later stages.
Yes the number of people here with problems is completely unacceptable. |
