This is a question regarding fairness to posters. I notice from the rules that restaurants have a control on postings and the sale of goods has to comply with a title addition. When advertising accommodation to rent it would appear you can have as many as you want. This, in my opinion, provides a cheap and direct opportunity to blatently fill the forum page with private adverts. Could not the same ruling on sales of goods be applied to rentals?

Sounds a fair question, which only the Moderators or Mr Izzet can answer. I do sometimes feel that For Sale items seem to be in the forum rather than on the For Sale board. Maybe folk feel attention could be grabbed better that way. I for one don't read the For Sale stuff, but I might be lured into buying something which gets a mention on the Forum. But it would appear that several of the For Rent ads are from EstateAgents!!!!!!! But as I say, that has to be answered by the Powers that Be.

I would like to suggest that a moderator could express an opinion on this matter. Does property rental advertising constitute general forum posting info?

Message 1. There is a separate section for people selling things. However unless they put FOR SALE at the beginning of the thread the post ends ip on the main page.

Having posted on this topic at which I thought was a constructive. I am somewhat perplexed at the individual responding as the Forum Administration. The tone of your response to the other members I find to be rude, intimidating and In my opinion would consitute an attempt at bullying. No1 Doyden is this just a lack of tact on your partor do you like to encourge rudness? Incidentally your answer to my question is a non answer. I asked for an opinion.

There are no plans to introduce or amend any rules relating to the sale of property. Hope that answers your question.
