I believe they started opening 5pm to 7pm just for August and September But dont rely on that as they may have changed their minds if they didnt get much custom - pityif so as it is good to shop at leisure in the comparative cool of the evening. I will try to check in a day or so.

Hi Hattikins we did try closing at 1.30 and opening up again 4 to 7 but did not seem a lot of interest and all the customers were only coming in the mornings. We tried it for 2 weeks but then decided to open earlier at 9 am and then close at 2pm without reopening in the evening. Unfortunately dear CT got the advert all mixed up so we have stayed with 9 am to 1.30 and then again 4 to 7. We would love to have any feedback on it. Sorry for any inconvenience to anyone.

I was very pleased you started opening evenings. There is too much to do in the mornings, particularly this hot weather when we are advised not to go out between ll am and 4pm!

I did call in and buy a couple of books one evening though it was still too hot at 6.30ish. I might have bought more if it had been later and cooler! And I would certainly have been tempted by ready made food, such as pasties if it had been available in the evening to save putting the oven on!

Even with an advert in CT I dont think many people realised you were opening evenings - is there any other way you can adveritse it - a board visible from BOTH directions would help might help, or if that is forbidden at least a really large board in the carpark.

Hi zanky,

Could you post directions to your shop please? We would be coming from Esentepe.

From Esentepe take the turning to Ozankoy opp Erdener and China Bazaar, up road on S bend take left fork;

you will come to a cross roads, mechanic on corner, go straight across, up slight hill, turn left at top. Corner Bar on your left, go along to end and bear left, one way, but beware, keep bearing left and The bookshop is on your left. When you come out you join the road by the garage X roads, so easy to get back. If you miss left fork coming in, you will come to T junction, turn left, keep left past market and will come to X roads with garage, here turn right and follow previous directions.

Wow! Thanks, Diehard. I'll have to write this down and take it with me, I think.
