When loggin onto my co op bank UK account online , the co op has been recommending the installation of software called 'Rapport' from a compnay called Trusteer. If you get a similar request to install this software please note that a significant number of users have had serious problems after installing it. In my case it caused my system to totaly lock up and become unusable on reboot. I am not alone, there are many reports of others having had problems after installing the software. I was able to eventually resolve the issue and get the software removed, but this was no simple task. Many have had no problems but many others have so be aware of this if you are thinking of installing this or your bank suggests it.

Hi Erolz it is recommended for HSBc customers in the UK as well. I have it installed and it doesn't cause any particular problems. What OS did you have? Harold

Harold I am using win7 64 bit. The problem seem to be some sort of conflict with my antivirus software, namely AVG free. As I say many users have installed it with no problems, but there are significant others that have had serious problems and a whole range of problems, though conflicts with existing security software is a common theme. If it just crashed and did not work, or crashed the AV program and stopped it from working that would be one thing, but in my case it made my machine totaly unseable for anything. I was able to sort it out without having to resort to recoving the whole system from a back up but I am not a normal user. If it had happened say to my mother, then her machine would have been unsusable for her until someone like myself could physical go there and fix the problem. I just thought it was worth warning others of this potential issue. I am not saying do not install the softwar, just be aware that some others who have, have had problems.

I installed it and had lots of problems, again with AVG. I ended up getting rid of both as AVG had also clashed with other programs. I am now using Avast Antovirus free edition and that is okay, even with Rapport.
