We are putting together at short notice a Party in The Aqua Park Catalkoy.

Sunday 28th August.

We are hoping to get maybe 5 acts to entertain you throughout the day.

I only started to plan this last night. So far Pearl and Emma have very kindly offered their services.

Billy from the Aqua Park has very kindly offered to donate the 5 TL entrance fee, and also help out if we get a shortfall on the day.

We need to raise approx 2,000 TL quickly.

If we can there is every chance that Ismails dad can make a type of N.I. cotribution and all of Ismail's ongoing treatment for the next 12 months should be paid for by Turkey.

The downside to this because little Ismail is classed as seriously ill. (Cancer)

But the upside is is that after 18 months of hard work, He still has his remaining arm and he is still with us.

He is also well in himself and positive. (Good lesson to us all)

So please come along and party and help this very genuine cause.

I will update.

Sorry could not fit it all in.

The 5 TL entry fee covers all the facilities at the Aqua Park. IE Slides, Pools, Showers etc.

So feel free to come along early and make use of these and bring the children.

Also there is Elanor Rigbys Restaurant, and also snack food Kebabs etc.avalable throughout the day.

We will also be holding a raffle .

I believe also that this insurance contribution will cover his Bone Marrow transplant.

Live music will kick off at around 3.30PM.

As I said in the earlier post if we can get Ismails treatment paid for then this would be a great help.

We would still need to raise money for his travel to and from hospitals etc. But this would really lighten the load.

Thank You for your ongoing help and support.

Hetty,

A picture is begining to emerge that human compassionism might just not be your strong point. Just my observation not a judgment.

After the last fund raising event for the boy. Over 20% was taken from the overall sum for the organisers expenses.

I always thought any fund raising event all services were given free.

Why did the Cheshire Homes pull the plug?

Aripointer you raised these issues at the time, and several people explained top you about the cost's of advertising around 500 TL.

CDs around 500TL posters etc. Everyone who has helped Ismail has done it for free.

I have also like many other decent people here given my time free for Chesire Homes, Tulips and KSF

I will continue to do so.

Chesire Homes did not pull the plug. I supported them in many ways inc. financially. But I had an unrelated disagreement with one of their commitee.

We have almost all medical bills paid etc.up to date (Heavily subsidised by Turkey ).

Cancer treatment is not cheap.

I'm stunned beyond comprehension at some of these remarks. How bitter and unfulfilled are some of these peoples lives. It's pity you need not challenge.

Fatboy does have a valid point. The UK which is regarded by most civilised nations to be a land of animal lovers, would not condone dogs roaming. They would needle them and that is the dog solution for TRNC.

The poor boy Ismail will have to rely on the good works and compassion of stalwart like JohhnyLee.

Thank You Maggie and stubbs1.

Don't worry about the negative posters. They are normally unidentified , (Not real people)

The only person they are likely to damage is Ismail.

They do not help or donate, they have more important things to do like hide behind false names on a keyboard

We just want to save a 6 year olds remaining arm and possibly life.

In fact to the best of my knowledge the last time I saw a post from aripointer, was asking the same questions after Ismail's Mayday.

I was infact offered a fee for putting that show on and I declined and asked them to use the moneys to feed the entertainers who gave their time once again Free of Charge.

Please stop all this bickering. It demeans you all as human beings. Life is the most important thing here, and this little boy has been such a fighter.

Remember in the UK that some cancer sufferers live in the wrong postcode area and are sentenced to death by being deprived of the drug which could save their lives.

Let's just get on with helping him in any small way we can, and if we do not wish to help then at least do not rubbish the efforts of the people who are desperately trying to raise funds for him.

May God bless Johnny Lee for his humanity.

Is there a Paypal account or some way I can send you a donation? Please email me if there is, otherwise it will have to wait until the end of September when I return to Kibris.

Johnny Lee, I don't think msg 22 is a wise post. Ignore but don't insult those with negative input. What they say may not be nice or true, but they are entitled to say it.

Can't get to aquapark but will donate 50tl. on behalf of unct.

May need a proxy.

To the ones who have a problem with the fund raising, have you ever sat with a dying child, I have, sadly in my career I saw this far too often but it still touched me every time, as did the despair of the parents.

If you don't have enough humanity to want to help a little boy with cancer then I feel very sorry for you but let those that do care get on with it without your offensive and ill thought out remarks.

when we drive around looking for someone to print free cd's, posters or leaflets, we pay for fuel from our own pockets. if we can not get someting for free we find the lowest poss price for the necessary expence.

obviously you have never raised funds before !

if you're free tomorrow please go to cheshire homes and find out why they are not helping with ismail and let us know. i know that they took a donation from lee and all i ever get from them is a phone call once every 2 months asking how ismail is ! we have never been pointed in the right direction or given a name of someone that can help in turkey.

msg 9 hetty

all it has cost us is our own time and money hetty. oh and frustration, stress, arguments with government officals and hospital staff in turkey and cyprus. and a dad crying over the phone 3 times a week.

keithr, you are right in thinking the government should do more BUT.... they do very little here hence why so many of us are out there doing charity work day in day out for the less fortunate that do not get the help they should be getting. Its very sad but a fact, so people like JohhnyLee are very badly needed. It is sometimes a thankless task when your up against some of the bureaucracy here, but if you can make a difference to one person it is something to be very proud of.

after the last election a new law has passed and according to this, for 1850 tl, ismail will get 1 years free treatment and medication not including travel and accomodation.

msg 12 cyprus lulz

msg 19 keithr

the situation with ismail has often forced us to cancel work comitments to do what is needed, or take time off to deal with related matters.

please come to the aqua park for on the said date, i will be there

FOR 5 TL YOU CAN ASK ME ALL THE QUESTIONS YOU WANTAND HELP ISMAIL AT THE SAME TIME !

Yunus or (Yasin) as most of us know him as. Is one of lifes true gentlemen.

Those of you who have met him will already know this.

We could not have even got halfway without him. He really is a hero in my eyes.

He has been at the blunt end. Like he say's he is the one who has dealt with it along with ourselves and also visited Ismail and his family with us on many occasions.

Thank God he has not taken the easy route out. He has stood by Ismail and his family.

I know how much this whole situation has affected him at times. Thank You Yasin.

In the Early days I was advised by Laurence from C.I.N. about the snags and the problems I faced. But I thought I knew it all.

But I did not. Yes I should have listened to him. But if I had I may not have carried on.

But one thing we have learn't this evening from the negative posters.

You have actually helped us. Because this Topic is now very active.

Let's just save ismails remaining arm/life.

I am a child lover, mother, and also have had my share of pets, both in the UK and rescued some here so animals are important to me but a childs, or adults life is far more important,

Hope you never need support cos you wont get it from me or my lot

Hi Lee well done for getting this arranged so quickly. With all the other artists appearing it should be a very good night. I know how much you and Jan and Yunus have done to get this little boy through this ordeal. Not just in money terms but emotional terms as well. It should be a very good turn out and help raise the much needed funds for Ismails on going treatment. xxx

Hi

You should ask all the acts on the Island to ask for a collection after they have performed I certainly will be doing that myself. could you supply some kind of sealed tin with a slot in it the top with a picture on the side, distribute as many as possible to the caberet stars on the island ASAP. try large coffe Jars or similar, even big water bottles.

I am absolutely appalled at the attitude of some people on this Forum, their humanitarian qualities are Nil, I don’t believe what I have read, I am neither Christian nor Muslim or practise any religion due to what I have seen in life and what people are capable of, I believe your family is your life and your life is your family, I wonder if these ignorant people would have the same opinion if it were their family member, wife, child or mother or even there selves who was the sufferer of this hideous illness, I am a survivor of melanoma and very lucky to be here today. You should be ashamed of yourself and crawl under that rock that you came from you are the lowest of the low.

I am totally gob-smacked, a perfectly good cause and a thread advertising the fundraiser and still the abusers who have no sense of compassion continue to post their vile messages you should be totally ashamed. If you have a grudge with Lee or such an event take it up with them direct instead of hiding behind your keyboard.

Ignore them Lee and good luck on the 28th.

A Child on Loan

a poem

by - Edgar Guest

~

"I'll lend to you for a little time,

A child of mine," God said,

"For you to love while he lives

And mourn for when he's dead."

"It may be one or seven years

Or twenty-one or three,

But will you till I call him back,

Take care of him for me?"

"He'll bring his charms to gladden you

And should his stay be brief,

You'll have these precious memories

To comfort you through grief."

"I cannot promise he will stay

Since all from earth return.

But there are lessons taught down there

I want this child to learn."

"I've looked this world over,

In my search for teachers true.

In the crowds of this great land,

I have selected you."

"Now will you give him all your love

Not think the labor vain,

Nor hate me when I come to call

To take him back again?"

I fancied what I heard them say,

"Dear Lord, Thy will be done.

For all the joy Thy child shall bring,

the risk of grief we'll run.

We'll shelter him with t

We'll shelter him with tenderness,

We'll love him while we may,

And for the happiness we've known,

Forever grateful stay.

But should the angels call for him

Much sooner than we planned,

We'll brave the bitter grief that comes

And try to understand."

Chris . Very touching and beautiful. Big men do cry.

Please note that the gutter comments are from mainly new I.D.s and persons unknown.

But many people that I speak to believe it is the work of one bitter twisted individual.

As Yunus, posted in message 30. we have all medical bills etc, except for any recent ones that may not yet have come from Turkey.

His phone number is on there and he has invited you to come to the Aqua Park and face us.

Then we can answer your questions.

Also once again here is my Phone Number. 0533 843 6539

In the meantime thank you to all of the wonderful people here.

But we have no wish to talk to an unknown person that does not exsisit.

Forget all the negative comments , those are not important people in your lives , so what they say should not bother you . The important people are the ones that support you in all your your efforts . God help us all if there were no people in the world like you .

To Johnny Lee

Hi from the UK! You have such good broad shoulders, keep up your excellent work. I remember a board member having a nasty sideswipe at me a few years ago, it was not even worth a reply from myself. I ignored him. He did not know the truth of the matter, got his facts wrong and was not even a client, just a gossip! Ignore the ignorance.

I am away until the 27th but will donate a Third Party car insurance policy to the value of 300TL as I did for you once before. You are a true saint!

Hi Johnylee,

I knew you were a gentleman when I sang with you in Hachi Ali Hotel at the end of July, we made a good duo apparently!, it was a great night. I Wish we were still out there and could attend the event you are so kindly organising for that poor child - will be thinking of you all. Ruth x

The Saints . Mike and Vinera. One big thank You from all of us. Mike you live up to your name.

Mike and Vinera have been so incensed by the comments of a few doubters, that he telephoned me this morning to say that the funds needed for Ismails dad N.I. are going to be put into Ismails Appeal AC. (Not the first time they have helped).

Yasin has in his possesion the official document from Turkey confirming the N.I payment.

Mike says the show must go and now we can hopefully raise funds to help with Ismails travel and any other expenses.

Yasin will hopefully be able to get in touch with Cemal, Ismails dad asap and give him the good news.

I suppose we should also thank the negative posters for helping to create this situation. I think its called shooting ones self in the foot.

Johnny

It is our pleasure, just wish we could be there for the big day but unfortunately work prevails.

I am sure it will be a great day and I hope all of those that attend have a fantastic time.

"Ok the NI payment is taken care of so there is no need of the big day" WRONG little Ismail needs constant treatment and will need an artificial limb and this will need changing regularly as he grows up.

The big day is still required as is your support no matter how big or small it all adds up, go and have a great time remember just by attending you are contributing.

Johnny, Jan and Yunus, you are all what many can only aspire to be, keep up the good work.

Ok thats a deal. I have never sung it.

I believe it was the fabulous Ben E. King. Also John Lennon.

I may need help from some of the other entertainers or maybe even we get together and sing it for you.

But I will have a look next week and see if I can do it.

Anything for Ismail. Good to get back on track and talk music.

Regards Lee.

I tried to find out if Turkcell would do this for Tulips just yesterday but was told that they could not do it for one charity here or they would have to do it for all of them in the TRNC, but please, please try as I sincerely hope you get further than I did.

If Turkcell stick by this rule I will be extremely annoyed with them because they obviously do not believe in charity begins at home and are quite willing to raise funds for Africa (which before anyone has a go at me, I accept that Africa also needs help).

Good luck Lee

They did when the floods happened was it begining of last year when they did the"band aid" was it called. They put the show on in Pia bella and had 2 phone lines operating, Not sure how long they were operating for, if only during the days event , all donations however small would be a help. What about Telsim would they be inclined to help do you think

Lee, Just to let you know I had my pool pump fixed by a friend of Yasin.

He spoke very little English but when he came round for me to pay him he asked me in broken English if I was going to the charity do at the Aqua Park. When I said yes he gave me TL 40 back , half his fee , for Ismail.

What a lovely man.......and he made such an effort to explain to an ignorant Brit like me.

I was very humbled................

I have put it here before but got very little results but if anyone still would like to donate to the Ismail fund, click on the link below and then when you get there, click on the Donate to Ismail paypal button at top right of the page. The site is still under work at the moment so no point in using it but the donate button has allready been successfully used in the past but it is not worn out yet, I reckon it could take thousands more donations before it gets any wear and tear. I am sure Ismail wouldn't mind people testing it to see if I am wrong "again"

Hit this link, please - http://www.biznizguide.com and then the donate to Ismail button

Please give what you can, this is not political or nationalist or even just plain personal grudges we are talking about, it is a small childs endangered life that we can all help to resolve with just a little donation.

Just hit the donate button and give what you can, I will get the funds to Lee.

Thanks, Paul

Thank you Guy,s and girls. ( A bit of Jimmy Saville for you).

Loose Boots, I am not suprised at this lovley gesture. I think knowing Yasin for the really wonderful man that he is, he tends to mix with good people, does that make sense ?

What I am saying is Yasin would have only sent a decent person to your home.

Blimey 40 T.L. sounds good value anyway.

Last night at Haci Ali. I sang a song for Ismail. (I often do) The Long and Winding Rd.

I did not say at the start that it was dedicated to Ismail. A couple got up to dance to it , just as the track finished I was just about to say that was for Ismail, before I had chance the lady came to me and pushed some money in to my hand.

I was busy so I just gave it to Jan and said its for Ismail. It was quite dark, so and it looked like 2 x 5 TL notes

when we got back very late Jan was sorting her handbag out, It was actually 2 x 50 TL notes.

We are very lucky to know so many wonderful people.

proger 1 Thank You again.

You came to Ismails rescue a few weeks ago and we really do appreciate your help and efforts.

I spoke with Yasin yesterday and we both said how wonderful it would be if we Ismail had have been well enough to get him to the Aqua Park, and for him to do the things that most kids can do.

To Ismail this would be like going to Disneyland. But when he is better we can make that happen.

He had to undergo more Chemo last week and it leaves him unwell, the hospital have carried this out because they have been assured that we have the funds.

But from what we gather now the operation to try to remove the cancer needs to be done quite soon.

Ismail is 7 on Sept. 9th. He lost his arm at age 4. He is one brave little boy.

Thank You for helping him.

No problem whatsoever LB although people should be aware that a small percentage of the donation is taken by paypal as it is not a registered charity. I think it is only about 1% but as I said, people should be aware of it.

Also from Lee's earlier posting on this thread people can donate through any bank:-

"These are the account details for anyone wishing to donate. THANK YOU.

Acc. Name. Ismail's Appeal. Acc. Num. 40079324. Sort Code. 40-10-39. You can donate via any bank"

Just helping to keep this up at the top till the FORUM OWNER finds it in his heart to make it a STICKY!!!!

Johnnylee. Some of my family have now arrived safely from UK and we will definitely "be there" for you as you continue with your family and supporters to "stand by" Ismail. Not sure if this old fart and the young grandchild will last from Dawn to Dusk in the sunshine but we will give it our best shot ! If you can find the time I think it would be appreciated if you can publish approximate timings of the events within the program you are putting together for the many who are very much looking forward to the day. Every good wish.

spider .wasnt complaining about the event was a good day and enjoyed all the effort put into it.Know of other charity events that have been there and been reported that not very well supported. My opinion is that its probably the price that keeps them away. Its not justified when its 2.4tl in the shops its called GREED,and thats not what the day was about. How much I WISH to spend doesnt matter.

To the people who came and supported us . Thank You.

To all the kind and positive posters on 44. Thank You.

To the Superb entertainers and their family who gave their time for free. Thank You.

We had the pleasure of listening to Emma Marie, She sang my favourite song by Adele. What a voice and we send you our best wishes for the UK and your future. Dont forget us when you are famous.

Easy G. So relaxed and wonderful to listen to. Your stage name is spot on.

Gitano, many of you hadn't heard him before. Very different style of music. 2 very cool guys and special thanks for holding it together with you Accoustic Guitars when my mixer failed.

Al. August Jnr. What can I say. A true showman, very talented. A true gentleman to work with. Good luck with your venture. Put me down for the opening night . Look forward to working with you again.

I sang a few and it was fun.

Running out of space Ctd.

The Band Pearl.

A fantastic performance, I loved the way you started, you just sort of came in with me already singing T Rex.

Thank you so much for your hard work and efforts. Loved it when Al and I sang that rock medley with you.

Good luck guys.

We raised 1036 T.L. a bit short of our target, But people can only give so much.

I have spoken to Ismails dad this morning he sends all of you his love and thanks from the whole family.

As soon as the banks re open we will be sending over to Tukey 2,400 TL. for the insurance and travel.

It is possible that Ismail will undergo major surgery very soon.

Kind Regards Lee and Jan xx
