i would love to bring my car over and fill it with our things!! now what im not sure on is the following if anyone can help us then thank you so much!! i owe you a beer when we are over!!

1. whats the best way of shipping my car over (its an 07 plate vauhall zafira 7 seats) i asked dolphin and they said that when it arrives in port i might be allowed to keep it for 6-9 months or i might have to send it back.

2. im studying in the greek half and have to cross the boarder every day should i ship my car that side would it be easier?

3. when i land in larnaca i am hiring a greek car for a few weeks until i get mine someone said that the insurance company at the boarder isnt open 24 hrs!! want to land at midnight and ive got to wait at the boarder until 8am or something! so does anyone know the hours it is open???

I would think the easiest thing to do would be to send it 'roll on roll off' , we did that and it was fine. Our friend put his in a container and it had loads of damage on arrival, stuff had been stacked on top of it.

You may also have issue with going south in that car with a UK reg. You can go south but not stay overnight without special permissions, as they will consider your car to have entered Cyprus illegally.

If you end up registering the car here with TRNC number plates they will not ship it out of here via the south, if you chose to go home that way.

I think if you don't have an address in the south it won't be possible to ship in via there? If you do ship in via the south your car can only stay 6 moths before it either needs to pay tax and register or leave.

Hope that helps a little.
