My house insurance for my UK let property is due to expire and the company has decided not to renew as they have stopped insuring overseas landlords.

I have been looking at numerous sites to re-new my insurance but wondered if anyone living full time in North Cyprus has a UK property that is insured and if so, with whom?

Thanks

We have our place insured in the Uk, but it is as a holiday home so a bit different from your needs.

I think they are called intasure or something similar. Policy is in the UK so you will have to look online.

I've just had a quote from Discount Landlord Insurance, as my previous insurer have said they are no longer insuring overseas landlords.

Try 'Simply Business' http://www.simplybusiness.co.uk or e-mail customerservices@simplybusiness.co.uk . or 0044 (0)845 071 0270. Rest assured they do pay out on legit claims.

We have insured with the NFU and they say as long as the property is never empty more than 45 days it's fine. So far its not been empty, but my neighbours son will sleep there if the gap is too big

Thanks everyone, Inasure did come back with a VERY good quote so I will probably go with them. Need to cogitate it for a few days.
