There is a motor factor opposite Astro in Girne. They sell radiator stop leak - I've seen it on the racking above the motor oils and coolant.

Egg or "Radweld"-type products are a temporary solution... I don't know of a radiator re-builder company - but there will be one or two about. Ask in the garages.

Demirci Msg 1 - Be careful it can be a false economy. It might also block some of the finer pipes used in your car heating & cooling system. It happened to me and increased the cost as it took quite a large amount of labour to resolve that problem. Silly point you have checked all the pipes & hoses?

Deniz, the motor factor shop is to the left of the petrol station opposite Astro, not the petrol station itself.

Do NOT put Radweld into a HOT cooling system pour into a cold radiator then run the engine at a steady 2000rpm until hot..top up coolant as needed once "norm temp" is reached .good luck..

Hi, I,ve just been to the above mentioned repairer (leaky radiator) - was told that it could not be repaired and would have to be a new one - £200+. I remember reading a thread some time ago about a person selling reclaimed car parts on the industrial estate in Lefcosa - does anyone if their is such a place and if so where

Radweld will seal your rad but only temporary, it will start to block the tubes and solidify inside which will in turn restrict the flow of cooler water.

This will cause overheating very quickly and with the temp in cyprus as it is I would guess this will happen sooner rather than later.

The only real solution is either a repair of replacement.

Silly question do you know where its leaking from, if not to find out put a little red food coloring in to your radiator heat up and see where the red is.
