Hi yevray - I always exchange sterling when I get to TRNC - you will get a better exchange rate in my experience.

A bottle of efes (pint) is around 4TL depending where you go, Hotels charge more, so if your getting 2.935 to the £ you are paying just over £1 for a pint, wine is also cheap, cigarettes are around 70TL for 200, they were in May/June.

Good cigarettes are the Tekel 2000 I used to smoke B&H gold and these are the closest for me. 50tl for 200 not bad.

Fell off the wagon Turtle, when over in NC last I went to the Hos' Bes to put credit on my phone and automatically asked for a carton of Silk Cut silver.........
