Hi Sue

Thanks for posting the above information.

Tickets are available now from the Korineum Golf Course but as Sue says if you live West of Girne just give me a ring, Delia on 0533 839 4007 to reserve, there are no other outlets selling tickets for this event I am afraid.

Would love to go to this event but as the majority of expats are of retirement age isn't the price a little steep? I am afraid I would want to see the real Lionel Ritchie for 120ytl. Just my thoughts.

Message 5 - I agree, but it seems som e people are happy to pay for the wonderful setting of the golf club and the food is good too. It is not my kind of expenditure for a look alike/sound alike. And of course on the same night is the 112 1940's bash, and that is 50tl I think. For a lot of people that is better value for money. But it is the only storyof 'you pays your money and you takes your choice'./

Both events will probably be a sell out!

Yes it is more expensive, it equates to approx £40 a night.

However :

1. It is a quality 3 course meal inc beef main course and all local drinks served all night not just 8-11.

2. Both events are being held in 5* venues

3. The artist is being brought from the UK with flights and accommodation involved etc, and is Europes finest tribute to Lionel Richie, not a jobbing singer from the South

Finally whilst all costs are in sterling and Euros our customers on UK pensions have enjoyed a 25% increase in the TL they receive for their pounds.

Basically quality costs - you only have to ask the 642 people that attended our last event in June

The real Lionel Richie would set you back around £80 a seat at Wembley stadium.... so I don't think he would be coming here for 120t a head less all F&B costs etc.

We attended a function a couple of months ago at the golf club, the food was very good, the drinks kept flowing, great value, this should be no different.

it is definitely a good deal, the children in need foundation always bring over quality acts, i have been to a few and have not had a bad night yet.

MSG Surely even as a pensioner you can afford a one off- why keep going on about being retired if you can't afford to live here then go home. We are retired and go out more here than when we did in UK

For anyone attending the Lionel Richie show at the Korineum Golf Club and wants to stay over for the night, you can book a residence double room with breakfast for 70 euros and their newly built Elite rooms for 90 euros with breakfast. To book call Lyndsay at Korineum on 0392 - 600 - 1500

Redwine,

I find your post offensive and we can afford to live here and why should we go home just because you don't like the fact I have said I thought the price was a little expensive. We have already booked for 2 concerts at the amphitheatre and a charity night at both Stevies bar and the Joya Restaurant. I don't care how well off you are, or how many times you go out on your pensions, everyone is not the same thank goodness.

When we went to see the Manhattans last year I recall that some people I know went and had snacks only at the bar maybe they were not even paying the full price either that we paid for the dinner. I wonder if the very same thing happens all the time as I hear the same people often saying its not what you know here but who you know ! Please Dilia and the good folk who put on the shows for charity I do hope this is not always the case. I do hope that it is not the case for this event too. Very disappointing to have know this happened on that particular evening too.

Hi Spider

All Supper Club events are either all inc or a set meal plus discounted drinks, with a comprehensive table plan.

The one exception was the Shayna Beach Manhattans event last September where we tested the water with this venue on a 40tl ticket only basis to see the act.

As it happens 220 people chose to book for dinner directly with Shayna, which meant there were only approx 30 people who attended the show, paid their 40tl to us and brought drinks only. Even the press always pay to attend our events as the Children in Need Foundation are the beneficiary.

All attendees including CINF committee members pay for their tickets. The only edge to be gained is by being on the Supper Club emailing list which ensure advanced notice of forthcoming events, the opportunity to reserve tables and secure the best seats

I trust this puts your mind at rest
