Went there yesterday evening about 7.30 After the meze arrived we had just started to eat and the main course arrived. We had the distinct impression we were being hurried. As soon as we had put the cutlery down everything was whisked away we had to wait for our drinks then remind them. We asked for coffee and were told no sorry too busy. We have people waiting for the table. Ok they were busy but not all the tables were occupied. We go there many times when my friends or family are over but never again. The food is good and reasonable but they have lost me as a customer.

The 'Ramazan Rush'... Go out of Ramazan and you won't be quite so rushed. Or go earlier.

Did you book?

It was like that before Ramazan. The place used to be so good but the last time I went (about 6 months ago) the service was just as you described Deniz1. Won't be going again.

Shame isnt it you find a good place then it goes down hill. I had to ask them for a clean plate the other one has a sticky brown patch on it.

yes we had exactly the same problem when we went there on sunday evening. They brought our meze then without them clearing our table of our meze they wanted to give us our main meal. The food was cold and yes my plate was dirty too!!! We was also told they was too busy to serve us coffee after our meal. We have been there in the past and it has been wonderful, certainly wont be going back!!!

Sadly we had a similar experience when we went with friends and we won't be going back either. Shame!

That really is a shame because we had always heard good reports about this restaurant and were planning on going there.

I can take on board that certain restaurants will struggle during Ramadan as suddenly they get inundated with customers but there is no excuse for rushing people, cold food and dirty plates.

Agree Valley view does an excellent meze and kebab. Wish we had gone there tonight instead of the venue we chose!

If you book a table I've always felt the cover should be yours for the night. I hate getting the 'bum's rush'. If the restaurant only has waiters and chefs for a certain number of tables you will appreciate their reluctance to allow extra attendees to block the way for those who have booked.

To be honest it's better to be turned away than to be rushed and squeezed in between sittings.

"I'm sorry but the restaurant is fully booked for the night" but at least if they say "We are fully booked this evening as it's Sunday in Ramazan, a traditional night out for our customers who have been fasting and have booked, we can slot you in but it will be a squeeze" Your expectations would be set and you at least have some idea that this was not going to quite as relaxed as you'd hoped.

Then you would not be surprised when they made it obvious they were looking to let someone else have your table. Their food is normally very good and great value.
