| Hi,
Is my south Cyprus power boat licence (Speedboat Operator Licence) valid here in the TRNC, or do I need to exchange it for a local one?
What size/type of boat would it be valid for here?

Also known as a High Speed Vessel licence in the south, covers any vessel over 15 knots and up to 15m length, e.g. a cabin cruiser.

| As far as I know, no such licence exists for private boat owners, in TRNC. |

| If your boat is flying under the TRNC flag or a Turkish flag then you do need a qualification.
If you havnt and you have a mishap then your insurance is not valid and also you are open to prosecution by the coast gaurd.
Those boats flying under a forgien flag are subject to the regulations of thier country. |

| I am not a hundred percent sure you would be best checking with the harbour master in the new harbour if you ask for Kutlu Kapt or Mustapher Kaptn they should be able to tell you. |
