Private lessons will be given as from middle of September to cover IGCSE & A/S level Physics, Maths, and Computing. The lessons can be part time to assist the student, or full time to cover the whole syllabus, so that the exam can be sat externally at one of the Centres in North Cyprus. For further information, please contact me on turkishlessons1to1@yahoo.com

Hi again Big Oz Please don't get the wrong idea, but I would seriously like to learn - Do you declare your earnings to the tax office. If you like, you can reply off-forum. iancrumpy@yahoo.com

Yes I do declare my earnings to the tax office - it would be impossible for me to do otherwise because my niece who knows about my activities is the manager there! The amount of income tax one pays in this country is really small - especially when you are self employed - you are talking around 20 TL for basic earnings per month and works up from there depending on that months income. If you need more advice, please email me at above address with your questions and I shall try & help. I would be more worried about the teachers who work illegally for basic wage on (renewable) 2-3 months tourist visas, with no work permits and no tax contributions in this country (as in BA)

By the way, I just noticed I have some "income declaration forms" available at hand, if you like to see what they involve, I can scan and email them to you

Re ; msg 5 - "I just noticed I have some income declaration forms available at hand, if you like to see what they involve, I can scan and email them to you." If it's not too much trouble, I'd appreciate that For the record, I no longer live in the Girne area ...

No problems Crumpy - I am in the middle of preparing my next lesson (in 20 minutes time), I shall scan and forward them to you this evening after my lesson. Pity you, you are no longer in Girne area - we could have met for a drink sometime
