For our (only) son's 18th we took him to Lego Land, he didn't know where we were taking him, and he was so surprised, it was our revenge for all the years we were forced to go when he was small, he's at university now and I miss him like crazy. sob

Relaxing with a glass of red wine whilst husband cooks something wonderful for dinner. Made lemon drizzle cake earlier. I haven't made a cake since I was at school and it could have done with a bit longer in the oven but it's still nice. Oh and I cut my finger whilst washing up.

Britvic,

I see that you are from Thorpe Thewles.

What we are doing right now is getting ready to go down to the Dun Cow at Sedgefield for

a pint Fish Chips and Mushy peas, on this cold autumn day.

Well What was good enough for our Prime Minister and President GW Bush, is good enough

for us.

Wyn, Have you been to the hammy and Russel in my neck of the woods? they do a lovely Sunday dinner, also The Ship at Redmarshall, the only complaint (not a complaint at all for some people) I would have is they give you too much at The Ship.

Do you live in The TRNC now? Where is your spot in The TRNC.

Very good lunch in The Dun Cow. Their Fish Chips and mushys are to die for.

Hi Wyn,

Unfortunately i'm in England, we have a holiday home in Karsiyaka, spent 5 weeks over their awaiting the arrival of our 20ft container, which was three weeks late! but everything was in tact, we have a business here which you may know Discount D.I.Y in Middlesbrough, Cannon Park roundabout, massive red roof? so we can't stay away for too long.

Where about is your place in N.C?

It has taken two weeks for me to re-aclimatise brrrrrrrrrrrr.

Hi Britvic,

I know it well. Spent thousands with you some years back. I know most of the lads to talk to.

Ask them if they remember John from the bungalow at Wynyard. Most of them came here at one time or another! I had a joiner named Jay that worked here for over 6 months, and he bought all his supplies from you. Small world.!

We have a villa soon to be completed at Esentepe on Greatstone Park.

Cheers,

John

Hi Wyn

Please can you stop talking about pub meals, you are doing me no favours at all. This morning I was full of good intentions, we were having hot mackerel salad for tea followed by fresh fruit and yoghurt, now it,s looking like Steak and Ale pie with mash at our local pub. Oh well. there,s always tomorrow.

Cheers

Hattie.

Hattikins,

Away lass! Its late season, you need protein to keep you warm! Get yourself down to

Marks and Spencer. Aberdeen Angus Steak pie with Port and Stilton. You will need a mortgage but........what a taste. Washed down with a nice Shiraz.

They could'nt eat that in the Hot Sunshine!

Oh Wyn,

That sounds great, I suppose I could pop in to M&S for a tasty pie and a bottle of some liquid refreshment,

Then I could have another look at those beautiful cashmere sweaters they are selling, and I could do with another pair of black boots, oh and isn,t that table lamp gorgeous, and look at those cushions, wow.

You see what you,ve done now Wyn, you are a naughty, naughty man, but lovely with it.

Cheers

You are beginning to sound like The Lady Wyn.

My suggestion.......4 Pies....2 bottles...early night....and the rest will sort itself out!

You would'nt need all that clobber then!

Have a good weekend,

Point taken Wyn, just one more thing, is the Lady Wynns residential care very expensive, my dearly beloved is thinking of beginning the search early to ensure I get good care when I finally lose the plot.

I think Notsoboredhousewife would be best, are you looking forward to going back to work?

N01 I don't think we will ever get the answer to our question! no ones forthcoming.....................Why?

britvic - one day we will understand what Why is. In the meantime we'll have to keep wondering Why.

Yes I am really looking forward to going back to work. Have been a stay at home mum for nearly 7 years now (although have kept my foot in the door with the law - the right law that is!!!). I think I will ask Izzet to change my name! Notsoboredhousewife sounds good!

Why? What? What is the reason for people asking Why. Surely What is a more expedient way of asking the question.

Britvic,

Having given you so much business, I guess its your Peters time to entertain.

Next time you are in The TRNC, Esentepe Villa Hotel. Peter has the chair

King Prawns, your customers will be paying. Fish and Chips for the working man.

Sad ain't it?

Vicki and Peter,

If you are passing you would be very welcome, to come and have drinks. (cant afford King Prawns).

Let me know in advance, so I can spring The Lady Wyn! Don't worry, she is OK whilst she is well medicated (Quite tranquil as in tranquilizers , many)

It would be really nice to have a chat! Tel 01740 644095.

Thats realy nice of you to do that John, I'll take note of your number, by the way my dinner would have cost less than yours, King prawns are half price in Tesco and I already had the garlic and salad in, so all in all it cost £2.50.

Regards

Vicki and Peter

I'm off to pick my brother up and take him for lunch (corned beef pasty at Greggs).

We spend every Saturday together, and have done for years, it's so easy to take family for granted and lose touch.

What are you all up to?
