President Dervis Eroglu has stated that a solution could not be reached in Cyprus as the Greek Cypriot Side is counting on returning to pre 1974 conditions. He made the statement before the screening of a documentary on Bayrak Radio Television.

Making statements at the screening of a documentary titled ‘the price of freedom in Cyprus’ which highlights pre 1974 conditions in the country, President Dervis Eroglu stressed that it is not possible to return to pre 1974 conditions and said that he has often told this to the Greek Cypriot Leader Dimitris Christofias.





He also said that the fate of the Cyprus issue should be determined within a time limit, which should be set for the ongoing Cyprus negotiations process.

‘Either an agreement is reached at the end of the negotiations or an agreement isn’t reached and the UN Secretary General sees this and understands that this cannot continue with his good offices mission’ said President Eroglu.
