Former Wolves footballers and fans came out in force to pay their final respects to club legend Frank Munro. Dozens gathered at St Anthony’s RC Church, in Fordhouses, to honour the former Wolves defender yesterday. Munro played 371 games for Wolves from 1968-77, helping Wolves to a UEFA cup final in 1972 and a League Cup victory at Wembley in 1974 – which was hailed by many as his finest performance. The proud Scottish international’s coffin, which was draped in a Scottish flag, was carried into church by former team mates Dave Wagstaffe, John Richards, Mike Bailey and Phil Parkes. http://www.expressandstar.com/news/2011/08/25/wolves-legends-turn-out-to-pay-tribute-to-frank-munro/

Wish the Doog had still been around . The names you mention there wanderer, are some of the great names from when I first started going to the Molineux. Doog was my hero, and he died the day after we moved to TRNC. I believe that Dave Wagstaffe was one of the most underated wingers ever. Mike Bailey was skipper at the time. Wev'e made a good start so far. But a bit early to get excited.

Last time we were top of the Top division Frank was captain for the day have a seach back through the E&s back pages some good comments. The players used to tease Frank saying that McGarry was going to put him in the engine room moving him back to midfield from centre half They were the days when a certain brave Mr Coppello of Juventus was crude enough to spit at Phil Parkes Or being part of the 63,000 at Molineux to see honest players refuse the bribes of bent Leeds and stop Revie doing the double
