The size of our plot of land is significantly shorter than what is stated on our contract/agreement. Our developer states this is quite normal because the land has been reduced to give sufficient room to widen the road. Not wishing at this stage to go legal we would welcome any experiences/comments!! Fantastic forum/some great subjects

Have some friends who have been told their wall's in wrong position. They live opposite each other. Think 1's over 20 metres long, and has to be moved back 1 metre for road to be widened. Get legal advice.

Depends how bothered you are about it? We wrote a clause into our contract stating a mimimum plot size, for what it's worth. I haven't measured our plot yet as the walls are not in yet, but I think it will be fine. Welcome Mc

Magicart Speak to the PBPG or tell your lawyer to contact the builder stating that you expect either a commensurate discount off the final contract price or the plot you are contracted to get... one of the two but do not accept it unless you really can't be arsed...

'can't be arsed..' is probably what the builder is relying on.

our plot is bigger than on the kochan. well so say the measure people who don't have gps. or a tape measure. or a clue. spoke with lawyer, he agrees they can't measure. along with the kochan office. legal action can take about 5 years and you have no guarentee of winning. he has spoken to the kochan office and they are talking about adjusting the map/ kochan/plot size. as if we went by the measure people i would have to evict 2 neighbours. one of which is a lovely old guy. so don't worry about it too much, it will all sort out in the end.
