| Gary, I'm sorry to have to say this, but it is almost certain that you and the man you work with are victims of a cruel hoax. If you read through the information on the link in post 3, you will be able to see the psychological factors that blind people to the facts - the facts being: - Plastic bottle tops have NO inherent value - there is no market for them, nobody will pay money for them The name of the supposed Charity or sponsoring organization is not available - nor are their contact details There are no VERIFIABLE instances quoted of anyone, anywhere, anytime, who has benefited from this endeavor These 3 factors are the hallmarks of a hoax. If you doubt me (and snopes.com ) then could I suggest that you contact the Cheshire Homes in Girne and ask their opinion? If you DO want to help raise funds to provide equipment for the disabled, I will be happy to contribute - just let me have the details. My email address is given in my profile. |
