How / what cables or adapters are needed to play MacBook air videos (via VLC) to Samsung tv? Also if you know which type of hdmi are they available here, the south side or UK?

Many thanks

From memory the macbook air has a min display port output on it. Assuming the TV has HDMI port you will need a disply port to HDMI adapter. That is to connect the TV as a screen to the macbook air.

You will need something like this

http://www.amazon.co.uk/1-8m-DisplayPort-Adapter-Unibody-Supports/dp/B003WVC8R2/ref=pd_cp_ce_2

Please do note the "Technical Details" section here though and the issue with older air books re having mini DVI port and not display port and also the notes about audio support.

Afarid it is not as simple as it seems :(

Maybe best bet would be to email this seller or another like them with exact make and model and date of your airbook and TV you want to connect to and ask what is the right / best cable / adapter to use.
