I understand Girne is gearing up to the 25th Anniversary of TRNC celebrations - today there were dress rehearsals/bands/army march etc etc down by the Harbour. There is supposed to be a fly by also on Saturday with lots of important officials in attendance.

Does anyone know the approx timings of the parade/fly by etc ?

In the afternoon, an air show will be performed by the Turkish Air Forces’ Acrobatics Team, known as the “Turkish Stars” in Girne at 3.30 pm.

Meanwhile, two Turkish War Ships are docked off the coast of Girne as part of the celebrations marking the Republic Day.

Its 25 years because in november 1983 the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus was formally declared.

I was in Karakum the day the KKTC was declared, it was a wonderful feeling
