Hi - For clothing you need UK Spring - light clothing during the day - but it is chilly at night - so a fleece / jacket is required. You can be lucky and get really warm days in the sunshine. Bring Some Turkish Lire in cash as well as GBP. There is an ATM on Kyrenia high street where you can withdraw YTL direct from your UK bank. Hope you find your dream apartmant - it is a lovely place.

Hi Mick, Warm during the days but chilly at night. Certainly need jacket for evenings. Best to pay in Turkish Lira but only change a small amount to bring and change the rest over here as you get better exchange rate. Are you making your own way over or coming on organised sales trip?

Hi mickb it is still quite warm there in november, but evenings are a bit cooler . on past experience i would take a fleece for evenings but there are others belonging to this forum who live there ,maybe someone can give you up to the minute information as we cant escape from climate change. seasons weather change and all that. hope this helps a little. i must say i dont take any turkish money with me i use the cash point if i need to get some, otherwise i use sterling or debit/credit card i have never used taxis ,so i would think perhaps you would need turkish for them . regards simbas

A wise decision Mick, There are many to choose from and its a buyers market...so don't be rushed. Find the area you would be most happy living in first and then search for your property. If whilst looking at different areas unaccompanied by the estate agent, you come across property you like the look of, ask to deal with the builder directly and negotiate a reduction as he won't have to pay estate agents commission, its a big saving. This money could then go to paying a surveyor/site manager etc who will probably have your interests at the forefront rather than estate agents who can be biased because there money comes from the builder at the end of the day. Just a point to consider. Our estate agent was going to send photos right through the development, gave us a long list of freebies for using them and of course the day after we signed the contract we have never heard a word since, despite frequent emails to them. Go on HBPG site for some useful information regarding the do's and don'ts of buying in the TRNC. Good Luck, I'm sure you'll find what you want.
