thanks Nemika, I think it might be a little too far for my wife and son to travel, maybe an hour driving each way

Hi. again been here two years nearly. I really dont know. might depend on how it was funded. If its only a group of friends meeting with their children what can the authorities say.

Hi All

I am sure you wouldnt need a work permit. Although at sunset money is charged it is to buy toys for the kids to play with, so it is non profit making, you could do the same thing. Alternatively you could just arrange to meet at each others house on a regular basis, or see if there is a village/church hall that you pay a donation to and then meet there. Just a few ideas from other groups that i have been to previously

Nem/Graig,

Nem, if you have Kimlik you don't need work permit.

As KG suggests

Why not both go along to a suitable local venue (like the one at Sunset) but out your way.

Charge say 3ytl a child, with one of you as treasurer, the other auditing, build up some cash for toys etc (make it non-prifit making). - the venue does not get to keep the play group money.

The owner of the venue gets to make on the drinks etc sold at the group times (check the prices are sensible first), and consider this is buisiness they would never have had, so they can't loose unless thay use paid staff. This way they are actually the only ones 'working'

Will take a few months to get up to full swing, but sorts the problem for both of you plus there must be others out that way too.

If after a certain time it's not going to happen long term, the saved cash (if not spent on toys) could go to the SOS appeal so you are never accused of pocketting it, and make all this clear at inception.
