Just wondering how much it would cost to bring the puppy/puppies from Panama?

Not to mention the long journey for the little chaps

Why would you bring more dogs into this country when there are so many, already here, in need of good homes?

aside to the obvious breathing problems due to their small windpipes and head shape, they have poor eyesight and are very susceptible to heat stroke in warm weather or hot rooms and cars. They get skin infections if the folds and wrinkles aren't cleaned and dried daily, as well as suffering from hip and knee defects. Why ANYONE would keep this breed going, alongside so many other 'social construct' dogs, is beyond me...and to have one in a hot country like Cyprus, is mind boggling...poor poor poor animals...

awanto:

Please read the posts on this Board about "street dogs " and adopted street dogs desperate for a home and

then look at the KAR site (perhaps someone would be kind enough to do a link, I dont know how?) and read about the stray dog problem here.

Then think again whether it is kind or sensible to import yet more dogs (and ones that are not suitable to the climate at that)

Even if you do manage to sell them the chances are they will be bought for their novelty value and abandoned when they pass the "adorable puppy" stage, or used as or to breed for fighting dogs.

Is any amout of money worth putting them throught that?

Please don't do this. Bulldogs have been bred and inter bred to the stage where they are fast becoming freaks. Other messages have described why. To continue breeding them is cruel. To have them in the heat of this country is doubly cruel. If you are a pet shop and importing them, then shame on you.

am I the only person who does not understand this post. Why would you wantg to import any puppy from Panama to here? Just do not understand it, as if this island is not bursting with dogs and puppies, they must out-number humans by god know what percentage!
