Thanks Redwine, can I ask you if there is anyway you can put the other page of the leaflet on the website, only it has all the bank account numbers that are relevant to the Association.

Also the key Tulips telephone number is 0533 873 1693 and this number is available all the time for any Tulips information.

Thanks again Redwine.

this could be said to be off-thread, but thought you would like to know that I bumped into an old colleague today at Supreme Supermarket, and he was clutching a form in his mouth. yes, you might well ask why, but he otherwise had his hands full. anyway, I relieved him of the mouthfull so that he could talk to me, and I pointed out what a good cause it was.

so, at least people are receiving the forms.

Do let me know the responses you get. I feel a story coming on!

Hi Marion,

No you are not off-thread. We have put these leaflets in the supermarkets and tried to encourage the staff to just put one in a shopping bag of an ex-pat, some supermarkets have been extemely supportive and are doing this then sadly there are a couple where by the leaflets are just sat on the side of empty tills!

Unfortunately this will happen, but they will not go to waste as I will be recycling if they are still there next week!

Wish I could help re Famagusta, but the people I knew there are gone (upwards and sideways!). and I hope that so,e folk will respond to your TV appeal. You were great, but I fell asleep before you got around to talking about Tulips, but you are a terrific ambassador by just being you, and I am sure people will respond to anything you ask! You are a great front girl (and the rear is not too bad either).

Hope that you are rewarded for all your labours - and that Tulips is as well!

I have also mentioned to folks about your DVD and book stall. And as I said I would be very happy to be the drop off point up this side of town and meet you on a Saturday to drop off..

Good meeting you again and great seeing how well you look after all your treatment.Keep up the good work.

good idea, spider. I will ask my hairdresser if she would take some. She is not keen on posters or leaflets, but maybe this is an exception. Thanks for the inspiration.

good on yer Spider. Who else will join you. Just think if everyone spent an hour outside their supermarket, although several supermarkets are handing them out anyway. Butr ifd everyone kept their hairdressers supplied, that owuld be a start.

Spider,

You are an absolute gem and yes it was great to see you after so long AND you are on my list of people to contact today, will call later.

Good idea about the hairdressers, I have put some of these in Nulten's but nowhere else, so will do now!

Thank you so much for your offer of help on the west side of Girne, I only wish we could find someone in the Famagusta area. We have had one person, who very kindly suggested a few places to drop off leaflets but we don't know the area to even find these - not much good are we!

Marion & Carole, calm down you two, if I charge for an appointment - it will all go to TULIPS!

Sue

PS Autographs are more!!

What a great idea - any volunteers for standing outside Supermarkets and handing out leaflets - do not forget the Stall at Sozy this sunday - lots of fantastic goodies on offer.

As you can see Marion and Carole are getting a little carried away with themselves! Bless them.

On a serious note this is keeping this topic at the top and if anyone would like to help us handing out leaflets, as Spider has done outside her local supermarket or anywhere else you can think of, we would welcome all help.

Alternatively, if you live in Famagusta - we are STILL looking for someone to help us put some leaflets into places the ex-pats go to ie banks, vets, supermarkets, hairdressers, chemists, restaurants or anywhere else you have in this area.

Please help as we have no coverage in the Famagusta area at all!

Remember, 15 new cases of cancer every week of which one is an ex-pat, is seeking financial help from this charity.

The charity will turn no-one away who seeks help but it is now our duty to help reimburse what this charity is paying out to our community from their funds!

Please consider the cost of one drink per month on a standing order ie 5TL minimum.

me get carried away with myself! Never! It reminds me of that philosophical question by Descartes "Can God create a stone too heavy for him to lift?" Well my question now is "Could Marion possibly carry her own weight! answer to both these questions on the back of a postage stamp! and the person with the correct answer will make me give a donationof 10tl to Tulips!

Might have found someone at Famagusta - might!

Thanks Redwine, that's brilliant, great that you are supporting us, can't thank you enough.

Now Marion, I have not got a postage stamp so cannot answer your question, I have put my standing order form into my bank so my 10tl per month is already winging its way to the Association.

If you have found someone in Famugusta that would be excellent, but we will wait with baited breath......

I am sure that Keith would put some in Deks in Iskele that is a little further afield.

I am off to DEKS, Yeni Erenkoy on Saturday, CarrierBag, and have already arranged to leave some with Denise and co. i believe the BRS may well have some in Yeni Erenkoy. Was talking with Sue tilt tonight. But of course if Keith gets to iskele that means we have them in both.

I must admit I am almost scared to meet Sue or Carole now - they carry these leaflets and precious ltitle else. So determined are they to get this system going that they deserve to succeed by their sheer dogged enthusiasm and energy output.
