We have made slight modifications to our prices effective immediately as follows:

1Mbit service is discontinued, all current customers will be upgraded to 2Mbit service.

2Mbit SERVICE

60TL per month or 720TL for 15 Months

4Mbit Service

80TL per month or 960TL for 15 Months

10Mbit Service

150TL per month or 1800TL for 15 Months

All prices INCLUDE all taxes.

50TL activation for all monthly subscriptions, waived for annual payments.

No installation with 12 month subscription or with annual payments.

This is not all, in addition to the great prices, all packages come with higher upload speeds for better performance.

Not knowing what your prices were in the first place, is your slight price modifications upwards or downwards?

@theparson: Our prices used to be 58tl for 1Mbit, 81tl for 2Mbit, 104tl for 4Mbit and 174tl for 10mbit.

@GineC: You can try our internet for one month, if we cannot provide you with promised service, you do not have any contractual obligations.

the quick answer is yes, unless you are at a very unlocky spot. 90% of houses around bahceli is within coverage area.

@PhilUK, apart from the striking similarities of the beard style , as far as I read in the wikipedia, he was a pioneer in his field. I like it...

Would your service support the use of a sling box - receive streaming at around 800Kbs -1.4Mbs?

Or better put, still would you WANT subscribers using such a service.. ?

I ask, as it is another way of getting UK TV and I've never found other 'TRNC' based networks reliable enough - although to be fair Nethouse works well enough at DutchCrusaders place, but it's STILL not good enough to charge someone for.. it works perfectly via CYTAnet, Primetel , etc.

I've long waited for a company that might be able to offer a reliable service in 'TRNC' to allow expats to get free channels - those receivable via a 4.2m - in std definition- HD 'eats' about 3Mbs...

Pls feel free to contact me using the email address in my profile.

@moxie: generally yes, as watching tv usually consumes around 800kbps-1mbps bandwidth. However it helps to make sure nothing in the background is also consuming bandwidth, download programs, auto-updates etc. Watching tv channels in HD though requires around 3mbps and you need a higher package for those services.

@tom, I am just sending you an email regarding our all 'new basestation installation plans'

@6ms: We are very interested and already looking for a solutions along these lines. Unfortunately I am not yet qualified to see other members emails, if you email me at kbasat@multimaxcyprus.com, I will be very glad.

Well I am totally unimpressed. I sat here all afternoon until 7pm yesterday waiting for their promised visit. Nothing - no visit, no phone call. I write at 12:30pm the following day and still no call.

If this is the level of service before I buy then I cannot imagine what it would be afterwards.

@Jovial_John:

I have conducted a research and I am told you have only called yesterday and was given an appointment for a visit for today(thus I do not understand why you would wait until 7pm yesterday, some misunderstanding maybe), our engineers have visited you today but did not find you in your premises, I am told that you have been left with a card with our phone numbers to call when you get back in.

Unfortunately with an error on our part, as you did not come into our office to fill out the signup forms, our guys in girne office has misplaced your phone number and thus was unable to call you. Please give a call to 0548 870 0226 so we can put this right.

While we were trying to accomodate our clients by accepting applications over the telephone and responding usually within 24 hours, I now see that a small misunderstanding and a tiny mistake (losing the customer's phone number on our part) is enough for the client to get 'totally unimpressed' in less than 24 hours of initial contact and be posted about it on the forum without the customer actually trying to contact us even once more to inquire about an explanation.

I do realize now that in order to keep a flawless track record, we are not allowed for even the smallest mistake or we risk to be smacked about on the forums or elsewhere.

I have ordered all our branches not to proceed with any installation effective immediately without customers actually walk into our offices and fill out all the necessary forms so everything is in the system and there is no room for error.

I apologize to Mr John for this incident and thank him for realizing the flaws in our processes.

Yes - I only callled yesterday - BUT.

The guy didn't ask for my number - he started to read out my number from his phone and said "this is your contact number yes?" - I confirmed it. So if he lost the number then he must have deleted the 'received call' record.

I had no expectation of when you could come. Next Monday, next Friday - any time would have been fine. But he told me that your people where in Lapta that day and would come to me in the afternoon - so I waited in. He chose the time - I did not.

Nobody has been to my house today - there has been somebody in all day. There is no card under my door or anywhere that I can find. Your guy knows me and knows my house but even so maybe they went to the wrong one.

So there seem to be many misunderstandings.

My post had an angry tone because I had praised your reputation to my friend to the extent he was also interested in your service and waited with me to talk to your men. I was extremely embarrassed when you didn't show.

Yes John,

you are right it does seem like a lot of things have gone wrong, I am told the guy forgot to save your number at that moment, and it got lost among many other calls later. He did send engineers to your premises by instructions, and it also seems like they have gone to the wrong place.

I again apologize for all the hiccups, If you can call 0548 870 0226 one more time or email me your number at kbasat@multimaxcyprus.com, we will make it right.

In simple terms could someone please tell me the difference between say a 4 Mbit and the 3g dongle 4Gb.

Would it be the same speed as the dongle or higher.

pembecik there are two different things here.

One is the speed of a connection, typically expressed as units og Kbs or Mbs (kilobits per second or megabits per second). 3g connections here in TRNC have a max potential speed of around 7Mbs but actual speed will vary considerably on loaction with 3g.

The other things is a montly total limit of dowloaded and uploaded data. This will typicaly be measured in MB or GB (megabytes or giga bytes). It is generally only 3g service that have these limits, wifi and adsl based home connections generally do not have such limits.

So there is speed in bits per second (kilobits of megabits) and then their is 'volume' in bytes (megabytes or gigabytes)

In your post above then the 4Mbit(/s) would be a speed of a connection, how fast potentialy it can download per second. The 3g 4GB figure would totaly amount you are allowed to download with this service in a month, regardless of how fast or slow you do it. Hope that makes sense.

If we only visit the TRNC for a month at a time, can we suspend the service whilst we are out of the country and not pay for the months we are not using it?
