I see nothing here about insensitivity or personal remarks being up for "editing" only banning for rudeness. Is there another set of rules or guidelines to which we are not privy ? Or are comments now subject to a bad taste censorship ?



Having said that. Anyone who personaly abuses a poster has just lost the argument !

One positive slant on this, is that it could reflect an increase in detection rate rather than an increase in crime rate

The statistics posted (60% increase in 6 years) are pretty meaningless without access to the full facts of the story. I would suggest the poster tries to get more info on this and posts again, and then he may get a reasonable debate on the subject.
