During 2010, on two occasions, I posted messages asking you to name your favourite singers and your favourite songs, and I said that I would play your requests on the Sunday morning JUKEBOX SHOW on Bayrak International - 87.8 and 105 fm. The response was amazing and I had enough requests to play for nearly 12 months. Many thanks to all those who responded. Some requests, I am sorry to say, I could not play on the show and the reasons were as follows:- some songs chosen were far too long (I try keep to songs which 5 minutes or less) - I don't play the modern Hip Hop, Rap and Techno Pop music - I tend to steer clear of the 70's & 80's Heavy Rock and Heavy Metal music - songs could not be download - and some singers and songs were not appropriate for the show.

I am now asking you again for more requests to play on the show. If you answered my last posts on this matter, could you name other singers and songs, as I still have your previous requests on file.

I will play most Pop music from the 1092's to the modern day including Jazz, Blues, Country, American Nostalgia, Rock 'n' Roll, Folk, Soul and Tamla Motown etc.

If I haven't got those songs in my personal collection I will try and download them if the singers and songs aren't too obscure and can be downloaded.

Again, many thanks and lets see your requests come rolling in,

Mike

Is there a maximum number of requests we can make, or can we request as many as we like?

Anyway, got my thinking hat on and will be in touch

Cheers

Hi Jeannie,

You can ask for as many requests as you like, I don't mind. If I can get them and they are appropriate for the show then I'll play them. I always say, the more the merrier.

I usually play one request per week per person (occasionally I may play two). That means that if you request plenty of singers and/or songs then you can hear your music for quite a long time on the show.

If you want to hear a song for a specific date, then give me at least two to three weeks notice, as I record two the three programmes in advance.

Thanks Phil,

I never used that programme before, I will give it a good look at.

Why have you not asked for requests for the show before? Surely you must have some favourites. Come on let's hear some of them.

Thanks Phil, I haven't got them in my personal collection, but will have a look at downloading them and giving them a coat of listening to.

Come on folks, don't be shy. Surely some of you must have favourite singers and/or songs that you want to hear on the show.
