A bar/pub should buy it so that customers can spend hours drinking wondering what the .... it is!

As it happens I did play it, a priest friend of mine showed me how to get a 'gold watch' (all five coins in a bed..... steady-on!).

Oh yes, I can remember it well. I used to go on a farm as a child and up to the local pub with my cousins to get some ginger beer, and there used to be one in the pub. Just occasionally I was allowed in to have a go. Naughty, naughty - children should not really be allowed, but in thoswe days there was no real 'Big Brother' laws. I would love to have it, but can't afford it, cos I reckon it should go to the higfhest bidder (and that won't be me.)

anyway, I expect the cat would leap on the table and muck it up!

Marion, in a pub as a child! You do surprise me.

I can't believe the price of a brand new one on the link above, obviously we won't get anywhere near that amount but anyone interested, please put an offer in.

Yes, I was led astray by six farm boys, and I was only 9! But country life did not have the same rules as town in those days (back in the Middle Ages!). Oh by the way, I do have some half pennies (somewhere) but not the shove board to go with them. Havebn't looked up the price of a new one, I will just stick to my Backgammon cos I have lots of those boards!!!!
