Does anyone have any problems with ants this year worse than ever,and how can you stop them from invading your dishwasher?

Ours have now gone after 5 weeks of hell. Try putting a little ant powder in the bottom of the dishwasher. Also I was told to wash down all the work surfaces with vinegar but found that the vinegar from the pickled onions was the best and finally the little monsters have gone.

I find Sertex is better than ant powder. All supermarkets sell it and it kills them instantly and they will not cross a Sertex 'barrier' for at least 1 month. Kills cockroaches too.

Also generally the ants come from outside. When you see them active inside go out immediately and look around the house for a trail of them. Usually they are transporting their booty back to the nest. You will thus find their entrance point and you can spray this and the nest thouroughly.
