We had a fire suddenly spring up yesterday quite close to our house so I tried to call the fire brigade from my mobile. I put in 0392 199 but got a recorded message to say I had dialled an incorrect number.

Before I had time to try it without the 0392 I realised someone else was ringing them & luckily they arrived very promptly. Can anyone advise if just dialling the 3 digit number goes straight through to the Emergency Services?

Thanks

Conni

all 'useful' numbers are posted every week in a small section in the Cyrus Today newspaper, close to the flights in and out, cut it out and put on your pin board in your kitchen.

Hi Ozankoys, I inadvertently got hold of the police on my mobile, I dialled 155 having forgotten which SIM card I had in. 155 gets me into Al Jawal in Saudi and I wanted to check on my Turkcell SIM card how much credit I had. Get confused these days I do.

Very nice chap at the other end accepted my apologies!!!!

Just dial the 3 digits stated from your mobile.

We needed the ambulance earlier this year and just dialled 112 and had very prompt servica.

Hi

Thanks for all your replies! I was obviously trying to be too clever thinking I had to put in the 0392 for the landline code to start with
